What's Up - Election Day

Hi Everyone,

If you haven't voted yet, today is the day.  I voted last week - three times (just kidding).  For those in Pulaski County you can go to Pulaskiclerk.com to check your precinct location and review your ballot before voting.

Today is also the day that the FCC is scheduled to approve the Alltel sale, so I have a lot to look forward to today - NOT.

Remember tp plan your food for today.  A long wait to vote can really mess things up if not planned for.

Hope everone has a great day.  What new with you?

I am asking this knowing I might be poking my nose in someone else's business, but...is this really all you eat in a day? I feel like a cow after reading that! I could eat dang near eat that much a month after surgery....

Sorry to draw attention, I just have to ask!

LOL! Yes, thats really all I eat in a day here lately! I had a fill a week ago and my band is super tight. Honestly, it is probably too tight but there is no way that I am going back for an unfill because when you have one it is like staring all over and you tend to gain weight! I really shouldn't have gotten a fill but starting next month I have to start paying for them because my free 18 months is up! Anyway, if I eat anymore than that I tend to throw up which I hate to do. I think I have thrown up four times since surgery! Once was because I was sick with a virus and the other three times have been in the last week when I eat too much or maybe don't chew enough! Its really not that bad though! I am not hungry at all and the weight is falling off! I am taking my vitamins and trying to get as much protein in as possible. The band is loosing up a little tho I think because I havent been getting that gagging feeling after eating so I will probably eat this amount of food for the next few days and then try to increase to more. If I still can't eat more, I may do a few protein shakes just to make sure I am getting what my body needs. And then, if all else fails and it is still too tight and I can't eat then I will go back for an unfill! But that is absolutely a last resort!

And no, don't worry about asking! I think its cool that you actually read and responded to my post! I haven't been on here posting in a while so I am getting back in the habit! I've just been so dang busy with work and with getting ready for my cousin's wedding in February! Its hectic!

Anyway, talk to ya later girl! Take care!

moo moo...I feel like a cow...lol. I will say that I am constantly amazed at how much weight you have lost with the band. You must be a poster child or something!

I hear ya on throwing up. I will do anything to keep what I've got down. When I was newly pre-op, I would get that feeling and it would result in me spitting for a good 10 minutes to keep from up chucking. My husband is the exact opposite, if something isn't sitting well, he ralphs. It's no big deal to him. The man is a puker, what can I say.

How is the wedding coming along? Have you found a dress(weren't you looking for one?) I am also trying to get back into the habit of posting for the purpose of being accountable. Not that I've fallen off the deep end, just that writing it down makes me take a look at what I have done for the day.

You are not a COW! Don't say that! You look amazing! Thanks for the compliments! I am not a poster child by any means but I will say that I have done amazingly well! Everyone tells me it was because I am such a determined person! Thats true....when I set my mind to do something, I don't let anything stand in my way! I will be on Dr. Wellborn's website soon! My before pics and my current pic and then my pic when I get to goal in a few months! I will let you know when it is on there so you can check it out if you want! It is very dramatic change!

No, I haven't found a dress yet! Kind of got sidetracked in looking and I am sure glad because now that I have lost some more lbs. I am thinking on a different style dress! Still a very formal wedding so I better start looking soon! I found a couple at Dillard's that I really like so I am keeping them in mind! If you run across anything cute, be sure and let me know! Thanks again! Later!

I am going to try to get back in the habit of logging everything since my weight loss needs a boost! I have been on exercising restrictions due to a pinched nerve, but I'm giving it the bird and I'm gonna hit it hard. My dad and my grandma haven't seen me since last year and while I know that they will be thrilled, I want to look my best! My goal is to lose 10 pounds by the time Thanksgiving rolls around here...we'll just have to see!

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast: 3/4C Kay's Natural Protein Cereal, 1/2C Milk
Snack: Kay's Natural Lemon Herb Protein Chips
Lunch: 1C Low-carb enchiladas
Snack: Smart pop kettle corn
Dinner: Yoplait yogurt, 1 oz colby jack cheese

roughly ~~ 1000 cals, 37 fat, 127 carbs, 72 protein~~not too shabby(since the count also includes 2 "treats" aka Halloween Candy)

Where do you buy the protein chips, and do they taste okay??  I've been fighting to get more protein in (can only stomach so many protein shakes in a day, ha ha) and if this will work, I'll try it.

I highly recommend the sample pack. It's not everything they offer, but it will give you a pretty good idea. The sample packs are on sale right now fo $7.50. I LOVE their cereals. I was always a cereal girl and I love these. Also, when you are testing them out, use your imagination. I think the parmesan chips would be good crushed up and used as the breading on chicken, pork chops or as the crunchies on the top of casseroles.

Let me know if you have any other questions. If you are drinking protein shakes, you will probably LOVE these. I don't think they have that nasty protein taste. Protein shakes lasted about a week for me. After that, it was water until I was on soft foods. Not recommended, but I just couldn't do them!

Wendy-
I just read on the RNY board that you can also buy Kay's Naturals on amazon.com cheaper than you can on the website I gave you. Just wanted to give you a heads up!
