Update!!!

Hey guys,
Thanks for all of your prayers and support, you mean more to us than you know.
Mike came thru surgery just fine, he is in the hospital, but hope to come home tomorrow or Wednesday.  No drain tube, just IV antibiotics, doing sliding scale insulin to keep the sugar in check while the infection is rampant, when the sugar stabilizes we can come home. 

I'll try to post tomorrow and let everyone know whats going on.  Again, THANK YOU ALL for your prayers, love and support.

Coming from a person who knows just a weeeeee bit about surgical infections, let me say I'm dang happy to hear the good news. So sorry I didn't answer when you called, I was in a doctor's appointment myself.

You take good care of Mr Mike.....but don't forget about Rhonda!

Hey Rhonda! So glad to hear that he is doing well! I know you will both be glad to be home! Its always easier to heal at home rather than in a hospital room! Keep us posted!

That's wonderful news.  Of course you know to keep those carbs down for his best benefit in maintaining healthy sugar levels which will allow for faster healing.  My son have Type 1 diabetes and we fight the fight every day too.  God bless you!
