What's up - Tuesday
What a great time we had yesterday at Starbucks. many thanks to Jan for setting this up. It was good to see everyone again and nice for Dian to meet all of you. Wendy, your daughter is a real cutie and she related so well to all of us "old folks". Nice to have Lisa join us too. It will be really exciting for you and your daughter to take this journey together. Thanks to everyone for making the effort to attend. I am looking forward to our next one.
We came home and covered up the mums last night. Since we were kinda late putting them out, I just couldn't let them get destroyed by frost so early. Looks like they will need to be covered again tonight, then it is supposed to be warmer again - yippee!

I wish I lived closer to LR. I hope things will work out so that I can make it to one of the get-togethers some day. I sure would like to meet ya'll. DS is home from Fayetteville. Life has been really stressful as of late. Finally got rid of Freddie the Freeloader and my dd on Monday just in time to pick up Trouble with a capital T from Fayetteville, lol. I told my dh there must be a sign on both of our foreheads that says "wipe feet here before entering". The one bright spot of the day was I went through a whole shift at work without having one admission. I'm sure I'll probably get slammed with 3 or 4 tonight to make up for it, lol. Besides the acute adolescents, our unit also houses the acute children. They are ranging in age from 6-11 right now and the way they were acting last night, you would have thought it was a full moon. I read the article on stress eating which I really need to concentrate on as you are about to see, lol. It's really not funny. I need to get busy getting a handle on the head hunger thing. In any event, I have another night of my daughter's competitive cheer tonight (just tumbling tonight, so not as long as last night - but still sort of "shoots" my night if you know what I mean). I really need to take my son to get shoes - but I don't have TIME to do that today. I will probably have to do that sometime later this week or even this weekend.
I got the tires rotated and balanced and the oil changed on my truck today while my dad was in surgery. (I was able to leave it there and drive my hubby's to the hospital - then picked up my truck and left hubby his on the way home after leaving the hospital.) So I'm glad that's done - one more thing I can check off my to-do list for this weekend (although I still have to make time to get my HUBBY'S truck done this weekend - at least it's not BOTH now).
