What's up - Tuesday
Hey Arkansas Losers (and I'm not referring to the Razorbacks),
Good to see so much "action" on the board yesterday. Hope all of you will join in responding to our daily thread. Looks like we still have a lot of interest in a coffee get-together. Can't wait to see all of you there. If you haven't seen the info - please see Jan's post and respond with your potential availability.
I am busy getting final preparations done for the pen preview show I plan to have at our house on Sunday afternoon. I've been making lots of different styles of pens and have a real good inventory available for the Christmas season. If anybody wants to stop by on Sunday, just let me know and I'll get you the details via PM. We'll have some coffee and snacks available too. No pressure to buy anything. I'd love to just show you what I do.
Looks like a perfect fall weekend ahead - if you believe the weather people on tv. We have really been blessed with some beautiful fall days already. Hope you are getting to enjoy some of them.
Don't forget to get your flu shot soon. Several of us have already had the crud this year which just serves as a reminder that none of us want to get the flu this winter.
I got some liquid iron and dry D3 from Vitalady yesterday. I've had a bit of low iron even before wls and don't seem to get it up much with the pills since they are a bit harder to absorb, so I am going to give that great tasting (not) liquid version a try. And I was listening at our support group meeting so I ordered some dry D3 to start taking as well - its cheap and can't hurt - my D3 levels are just OK so we'll ry to get em up a bit higher.

Hey! I'm really enjoying this mild weather we've got going. It's also kind of nice to have a house-husband; I could get used to this... alas, the money will stop one day, so it's not meant to be, LOL.
Do y'all think the Vitamin D pills (not gel capsules) they sell at Wal-Mart are the same thing as dry D? I bought some on the off chance it is. Now I just need to get in a good routine for taking all this wonderful stuff. *gag*
My surly teen actually smiled yesterday. She's been having a lot of headaches lately, so I caved and took her to the doc Friday. We got her good and drugged up... must be helping.

Well, I did notice it was a beauthful day outside but it's been a real rollercoaster ride for my dh and myself since Friday. Our 15 y/o ds is having a lot of problems. It breaks my heart that we can't "fix" everything for him and make it all better. He is at a point where he has to take responsibility for himself and do some growing up. Tough times for him and those who love him. Anyway, I ate on the run yesterday between meetings with doctors, case managers, and trips to Fayetteville to get ds admitted to the facility up there for treatment.
