Well, here we are in the middle of another beautiful weekend.  Stephanie (our youngest daughter) and I played in our church golf tournament yesterday and had a great time.  This was her first "public" golf experience and she seemed to really enjoy it once she got over the jitters.   We did all right - finished second out of nine teams, but most importantly just had a great day together.   Can't put a price tag on that.

Even the Razorbacks had a good day yesterday.   I haven't heard anyone chanting "We're number one!" yet, but it was nice to see a win on the road.

Hope your weekend is going great.  What are you up to?

Hi there.  Not much going on this weekend for me.  I usually go to community center and do water class Saturday morning, but Cabot fest was this weekend and there weren't any classes.  I haven't exercised like I needed to, but I have a Tai Chi dvd I may do in a bit or go for a walk before/after walmart.

I have done some cleaning and laundry.  Took a nice bath in my big tub.  Slept in late this morning (had to take big dose of benedryl at 5 am so I could breath and slept in till 9 ish).

I have to go to Walmart  (yuck!) and get ready for the week--picking out clothes to wear for me and my daughters, iron, etc., and go to church tonight.

Trying to get everything together for my surgery too.

Have a great rest of the weekend and great Monday!

I will be happy with thighs that don't touch!

Hey Steve and "the Gang",

Sounds like your day with your daughter was a great one.  Nothing like spending time with them while they still like you!  LOL  No, honestly, we have a wonderful relationship with our son and shouldn't tease about such things....I know we're blessed.

The last two days of my work week were awful.....disastrous, actually.  In those two days I lost almost $300 in no-shows and cancelled appointments. The girl who cancelled had car trouble, understandable, but the two that just didn't show up for their appointments probably didn't have the money, and considering the economy, I understand. BUT it doesn't do much for MY economy!!!

Gary and I cleaned the house today.  The kids are coming over for dinner/ product assembly and the Charger game. The world WILL stop during the game!  Gotta root for our hometown boys. Gary's taking the day off tomorrow and we're going to the fair. Can't wait to see the pig  races and play with the tiger cubs. Two years ago I paid $20 to buy a tee shirt that allows me "backstage" at the tiger exhibit to help feed the cubs. One of those things on my "list of things to do before I die" list. An amazing experience to be able to handle one of those darlings.....at least before they're bigger than me!

Yesterday's menu:

latte

protein drink

mini bagle w/ ff cream cheese, 2 slices deli turkey

latte

tuna salad (1 tsp LF mayo, 1 tsp greek yogurt) on a WW mini pita w/ 1 slice 2% cheese

almonds and banana

1/2 PB&J

V-8 juice

I hear that they are selling chocolate covered bacon something or other at the fair this year.  maybe you could find the booth for these and hand out some OH literature there.

Seriously though, have fun at the fair.  Playing with the tiger cubs sounds like a great time.

Not a whole lot going on here.  This is the last day of my MIL's visit...I think she's heading to Kansas tomorrow for her class reunion.  I worked 12 hours yesterday and was beat..so I went to bed early.  Today we had my BIL and his wife and his 2 kids here along with my DH's 4 kids and the MIL.  Took pictures of everyone.  I think they turned out good.  We grilled.  I'm off on my eating/exercise.  Hope to get back on track tomorrow.
Ya'll keep posting...I love keeping up with you.

It was a good weekend. Friday night I babysat my grandaughter(she will be two next month) while the rest of the family went to the football game. We lost( Lake Hamilton).Saturday I went to Cabotfest with my daughter and grandaughter,my three sisters, my nephew, my neice and her husband. We really had a good time and enjoyed ourselves, but man was it hot. I wish I had worn shorts. Didn't know it was going to be that hot. After Cabotfest we went to Dixie Cafe and ate. I ate not even half what I oredered and brought the rest of it home to my dh. It was a good day. Haven't done much today. Rode my bicycle, and went to Walmart and bought a few groceries. Hope everyone has a good week.

We had a pretty good day Saturday.  Our 8yo son had a soccer game, then Hubby and I went to see Quarantine which was okay but not great.  I get terrible motion sickness from the slightest thing, and the movie was almost exclusively on a hand-cam, so it make for a very queasy experience, LOL.  We offered to take the 14yo with us, but she said she didn't want to go to a movie with us, yes, emphasis on the "with mom and dad" part, little stinker.  It worked out well, regardless -- it was time for me and hubby to have a date night.

Breakfast:
Had to rush to a soccer game, only had a PB cracker.

Lunch:
the yolk of a fried egg and a piece of wheat toast w/margarine

Dinner:
2 grilled shrimp, 2 steak fries, and 4 tiny bites of steak (it all got stuck, though)

Snack:
popsicle
a few croutons (darn carb cravings)
1/2 c lentil soup with some cheese
