Tell me about Dr. Roller
Ummmmm HE ROCKS! Seriously...he does. He is the only bariatric surgeon in Arkansas that was fellowship trained(if my memory serves me well). Some people will try to scare you away because he is "new". The man is a damn good surgeon though. He has done surgery on 2 people from his own team so they obviously trust him. We trust Dr.Roller so much that he has done both mine and my husband's GB. He passed "Nurse Barbara's" inspection(that would be my grandmother who is a retired nurse...she was VERY good at what she did and requested to speak to him by herself before I commit to anything...she loves him). They are not a Center of Excellence yet, but are in the process.
I'm not sure what all you want to know, but you must go to a seminar first. The dates and times are available on his website. From there, you can make an appointment to see them. They will help you decide what is best for you(if you need help) and they can answer all of your questions. Beth is the coordinator and a very busy woman, but when we have had issues in the past, she always gets everything taken care of.
If you are a self pay, things can move pretty quickly. My surgery went through insurance and it still moved very quickly.
Anne, the NUT, has received rewards for her work. She is a doll and I prefer her. That is all I will say about that!
Bad things....wait times(as goes with EVERY.SINGLE.DOCTOR I have ever been to), changing faces (I think the team adds a new person every time I go in...this is due to their rapid growth)
What else....I'm drawing a blank. The support group is growing like crazy. Sometimes it's beneficial for me, sometimes not, but it was always good for me in the beginning. I go whether I think I am interested in the topic or not because I have met some wonderful friends there.
