Good morning friends.   Hope all is well with you today.  I am planning to vegetate a bit today as I have been going non stop for a while with work and home projects.   I am going to take my daughter Stephanie to Hot Springs Village to play golf this afternoon.  She is just learning to play but catching on real fast.  That should make for some good one on one time that I will cherish.   Too bad I'll have to miss the Razorback game (NOT).  Wait til next year????

It's almost time for fall colors and I hear that they are predicting an extra good year for color with the temps and moisture we have had this summer.  Better plan some time for viewing now or our schedules will be too full and we will just have to read about how pretty the trees were this year.

Well my food counts were low yesterday.  We have all had a stomach virus at our house so I am claiming interference and not gonna beat myself up over not eating enough yesterday.  Feeling better this morning after sleeping 12 hours last night - yep, went to bed at 6 o'clock.  How's that for being a real wimp?

Sooooo..............  What's up with you today?

Good morning friends.  Yes, its a Saturday, and Im up and going at 7:20 on my day off!!!! Makes NO sense to me.
I scheduled my hair cut for 8 am, where in the heck was my head???
Gonna come home after that and clean house.  DH is in Oklahoma at a horse and mule sale, so today is my day to deep clean.  May go to the rodeo in Pine Bluff tonight, but may just spend my evening after housework vegging!!!
Yesterday was ok, we had a fundraiser for the job yesterday morning and then court yesterday afternoon, so was busy, but I ate well.

Breakfast-1 pack blueberries and cream oatmeal (low sugar)
Lunch-Chicken and a few bites of waldorf salad and a few bites of brocoli salad
Dinner-cube steak minus the crust and green beans
Snacks-2 sf white choc and macadamia nut cookies
Lots of u/s tea and coffee
Vitamins done
Not much exercise cuz I worked all day and then came home and did some housework b4 going to visit my sister.

Everyone have a good day, and if you dont hear from me for a few days, you'll know the housecleaning monster attacked me!!!!

Hugs,
Rhonda D.

Hi.
I am still pre-op, but I thought I would comment.

Went to water aerobics this morning and worked out for an hour.

Helped for 2 hours (and shopped a bit too) at Special Olympics Rummage sale in the town I teach in.

Switched kids out with my parents (I had one and she got to go with gp and the other that was with them got to come home with me)

Made a few calls to talk to friends and check in with them (one's husband was sick, another's husband is in the hospital, and just a couple quick just causes)

Doing Laundry
Cleaned girls' bathroom
cleaned kitchen up a bit

Going to do some more cleaning in a bit, fix supper for hubby after he gets home from work and hopefully go to bed by 9!

I will be happy with thighs that don't touch!

Hi Nicole,
Glad to see you posting to the daily thread.   I see you have WLS coming up later this year.   Hope it all goes well for you.   Great bunch of folks here that will always be happy to help in any way possible.  Hope you will join us regularly as we share this journey to better health .  Please ask any questions you might have as well.  If one of us doesn't know the answer we can probably find someone who can.

hmmm.... what did I have today?

This morning it was a strawberry protein shake, 20 ounces of water and then I believe it was chocolate and 20 ounces of water oh and half of an apple.  I don't put any fruit in my shakes and Courtney said I could just eat it..  And then I went all out and had 8 ounces of Chicken broth, and 20 ounces of water.  Then I through in another 20 ounces of water and another strawberry protein shake.  I think somewhere in all of that I might have had a pickle today too. which was ok'd by Courtney.

I did get my walk in today but I went out to my sister in laws to pick up a treadmill she is going to loan me.  So I hope to get that hour in tomorrow and then I will go back to the gym Monday morning.

Did I mention that today was day FIVE of my 14 day protein diet.

Way to go Amy.  The liquid diet isn't much fun, but it is a great way to get prepared for surgery.  Looks like you are doing great with it, so just hang in there and surgery day will be here before you know it.
