Looking For A Plastic Surgeon

Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine lives near Little Rock - is willing to travel some and is looking for a good plastic surgeon, specifically a breast reduction.  Can anyone give a good reference of a quality surgeon near this area?

There are a few very good plastic surgeons here in Little Rock.

Kris Shewmake (did my DIL's breasts.  IMHO the best in LR, but expensive)

Roger English (  saw him for a consult....hated him and his staff)

Suzanne Yee (most expensive in town, fancy new building to pay for, charges for consults, not impressed)

Dr Anderson ( did my eyes and three friends breast enhancements.  Generally, I'm pretty pleased, not over joyed, but pleased)

If I had the $$ Shewmake would be my choice hands down. He is a plastic surgeon, not a cosmetic surgeon...big difference.

I went to Suzanne Yee for some minor cosmetic surgery last year and was extremely disappointed.  Yes, "Six Flags Over Suzanne Yee" is a beautiful and most impressive building, but her bedside manner is non-existant and her staff is cold and unapproachable.  After sharing my experience with others I've learned that unless you walk in waving thousands of dollars and name-dropping shamelessly you probably will not be treated any differently than the average homeless beggar.  I wouldn't recommend wasting time or money on a consultation with her.

What really gets my goat about Yee is that she charges for consults, but then you pay to see her and end up seeing one of her staff.  One of her nurses is a client at the salon where I work and she says Yee charges for her consults so she only sees patients who are "serious" about having work done.

That was completely my experience! I waited almost an hour for her to show up for my consult and was very specific about the fact that I expecter HER to do my procedure instead of one of her staff.  Then my appointment for the procedure was scheduled 8 weeks away because of her busy schedule, and guess what?  When I went in for the procedure she wasn't even there!  I talked to the staff about the fact that I had insisted she be the one to do it, but they just acted confused and claimed that she just wasn't available to do so.  In what would turn out to be a big mistake, I allowed one of her assistants to go ahead and do it.  I left the office depressed, confused, in serious pain and looking like I'd been in a bar fight.  When I called to talk to them about my condition the staff was extremely flip and offered no assitance whatsoever. 

I paid $6000 for a lesson well-learned and will never make that mistake again! I'll spread the word far and wide to anyone who is looking for a plastic surgeon....look elsewhere!!!
