Meeting Dr. Baker tomorrow

I have my appointment with Dr. Baker tomorrow.  I am so nervous.  I don't know what to expect.  I have heard so many people say he is a in your face kind of person.  But everyone seems to love him.  I have everything laid out that I need to take with me.  I hope I don't forget anything!.

By the time you read this you are probably already leaving or maybe even back, but if not, BE NOT AFRAID!!!  I was nervous about meeting him, but let me tell you, he is most wonderful.  He is an in your face kinda personality when it comes to following the rules.  He wants you to do well, but he also wants you to know this is not a 5 minute choice, but a lifetime decision.  I love him to death, the most beautiful blue eyes you will ever see.  He cares, always asking me about my husband and my mom, concerned w/all of my life issues.

Let us know how it goes, and just remember, he is the best in his field, in my honest and truthful opinion.  Just to give you an insight to his personality, after I had been seeing him a while, prolly at my 6 month post op visit, I told him if I had rocks up my nose, he is the one I would want to dig them out.  He laughed and said, "Please dont go out sniffing rocks!!!" and we had a big laugh.

Everything went great today.  Dr. Baker was very nice.  He asked if I had cut out all of the junk and fast food.  I said almost and he just asked what was I waiting for.  He didn't jump on me really hard or anything.   I have everything done and ready.  I start my shakes on 9/30 and my surgery is on 10/15.  I am so excited.  I told me 6 year old today that I was going to have a little surgery and the doctor was going to help me get skinny and she started crying and said she didn't won't me to be skinny she wants me just like I am.  I asked her, didn't she want me to be healthier and she said yes but not skinny!

Your daughter is darling. I know my 7 year old nephew is always telling me that I'm getting skinny. He's one of those kids that means no harm but will tell you if you're as wide as a truck. I would call him brutally honest. He tells me my arm is like "this big" and squeezes his fingers together real little. It's entertaining to say the least. Then he told me and my sister that we were "like the same size" and she just had a baby a month and a half ago. I told him to skidaddle...I'd like to think that I don't look like someone who just delivered a child..thankyaverymuch!

Congrats on your date!!! It'll be here before you know it.
