Congratulations Susan!  What a journey you've been on these past 2 years..and yet..you keep helping others along the way.  I guessed your size about right.  I was telling my DH the other nite after we were at Bucks about everyone there..and that you were so small..I guessed about a size 3..which is a 4.
You are great..and way to show the nay-sayers!

See you Saturday!

Susan,

What a couple of years you've had - congrats to you on your success, perserverence and CUTE SHOES!!

When I read your post, it brought so many memories back to me from the beginning of this process like eating from a baby spoon, eating away from others so I won't be judged, etc.  It was kind of cool b/c I rarely think about how my life was those first few weeks - in one way it's seems like a long time ago and in another, it's been so fast.  My first anniversary is coming up next week - I'm pretty excited to go see Dr. Baker so he can see my progress.  A year ago, I never would have dreamed in a million years that I would be where I am today.  I feel so blessed but scared at the same time.  Just like you, I look in the mirror sometimes and can't believe it's really me.  I do have fearful thoughts of "Will I gain it back?" pretty regularly but  I know I have control of where I go from here - some days the old habits start to creep up.  The cool part is that I recognize it and change my behavior (most of the time) to limit those empty calories.

You gave me some advice a few weeks ago regarding plastic surgeons - thank you!  I have a consult with Dr. Shewmate in a couple of weeks - I'll let you know how it goes.  Thanks for being there for all of us.

Hey Susan,
I enjoyed reading your post.  I remember the first time I met you, at one of the support group meetings, and you had your boot.  I was really nervous at my first meeting, but talking to you made me feel comfortable.

And when you came to the hospital after I had my surgery meant a lot to me.  My family only was able to come and visit once, so I was quite bored (that's probably why I spent most of my time walking the halls), but your support meant the world to me.  Thank You!

So, CONGRATULATIONS to you, 2 whole years later, look at all you have accomplished!!  And the many many many friends you have found along your journey!
