Just My Size: Yoga with Megan Garcia
I was browsing my netflix, looking for some workout videos to try (I need to get this last 10lbs off before my appt, so I can say I have lost 50% of my total body weight). I decided to try and find a mommy and me workout tape, for me and my 14month niece, and while browsing yoga, I found this:
Just My Size: Yoga with Megan Garcia
Yoga may seem intimidating to people who are intent on dropping more than just a few pounds. But it doesn't have to be that way, as plus-size model Megan Garcia demonstrates here. Using an easy-to-follow, viewer-friendly approach, Garcia shows how people can benefit from yoga no matter what size body they have. This video is a great starting point, as the exercises are designed for beginning yoga practitioners.

It has some great user reviews about it, and the girl on the video jacket is definitely plus sized. I added it to my queue and am going to bump it up my list so I can have it arrive on monday. I will try it out and let everyone know what I thought.
But, if you have tried it before, please feel free to tell me what you thought of it.

I haven't tried that video yet but I have been doing the yoga on the Wii Fit and it is great. I am very large and I can do the exercises except for the ones where you have to stand on one leg lol. For them I use my walking stick to steady myself and move on. They start you out with beginner exercises and introduce more of them as you work out. The physical therapist where I work (oops, used to work) told me that yoga is really good for helping keep your skin elastic as you lose weight so that it helps it shrink better. I just took a 2.5 mile walk with my husband. I'm on a plateau and it's driving me crazy. I am down 58 lbs as I approach my 3 month anniversary but I haven't lost anything in weeks. I guess this too shall pass. Susan said she would look at what I'm eating but I have to get a list together for her. I've been using the log on the web site Dr. Roller enrolls us in that is interactive with his office. I just logged on to it this week. It is pretty good. I didn't know they have been entering my weights and vital signs when I go in for my visits. I'm hoping that by recording all of my meals on it the dietician can look directly at it from the office. I thought you had to pay for a subscription to use it but I just discovered that it is free to his patients.
