hey everyone,

Starbuck's has a new item on their menu.  Yes, we used to be a Starbuck's Employee household, but no more, so this is no plug for them, just another suggestion if you need something on the go.

They now have what is called "Perfect Oatmeal" on the menu.  It's about $2.60 with tax.  You can have them make it with water, non fat milk or soy milk. Comes in a cute little container and you have a choice of three different toppings; brown sugar (not recommended), nut medley or dried fruit.

the couts are:

Plain-----140 cals, 2.5 fat, 25 carbs, 4 fiber, 5 protein.  Of course, if you make it with non fat milk, you'll add some more protein

Toppings,  fruit medley:   100 cals, 24 carbs, 2 figer, 1 pro

nut medley:   100 cals, 9 fat ( monounsaturated fat, the good kind), 2 carbs, 1 fiber, 2 protein.

This is a great choice for you folks who are on the run all day.   The portion is great and so is the price.  I'll have some this week and let you know what I think.

Also, I have had the orange, mango banana Vivano recently and it's very good.  Order it non fat and it's less than 200 cals with 6 grams of fiber and 16 grams of protein.

OHHHHH to have a Starbucks w/in a 70 mile radius!!!!  There is not one obviously in Fordyce, nor in Camden or in Magnolia, or Eldorado!!! What a rip, enjoy it if you can, I always make sure to go there when we have meetings in Little Rock!!!

Have one for me, and what is a Vivano??

Honey Girl, you're just gonna have to stop by the I-30 one on your way into LR.

A Vivano is thier new smoothie. Made with mango, bananas,  orange juice, milk (2% unless you ask for FF), whey protein and fiber.  One yummy drink!  Especially since it does have 16 grms protein in it.

Well my dear, I dont come down (up) I-30.  We do 530 to 630 but I can live till I get to Baptist!!!  Starting over w/my eating, being aware of every bite that goes in my mouth again, I have been doing really bad, and picking up a pound or two, dont wanna go there, soooo.   Back to being dilligent!!

Have a good day, off to the horse barn to hang out and socialize.  Gonna get Mike to drop me off 1 mile from the barn and walk the rest of the way in!!!!

Hugs,

Just had to add...........just came back from grocery store and, of course  my car can't physically drive past a Buck's without stopping. Well, they gave me a sample of the oatmeal.  It was made with water, which it will be when you buy it unless you ask for the other milk choices.  The rasins were plump and yummy,  it needed a packet of splenda or something, but otherwise.....
