What are you eating and what's eating you?
Hey everyone,
Had a great anniversary yesterday. We went to dinner at the Faded Rose. Never had been there and heard the food was good. Not the atmosphere I was hoping for, but great food.
Here's my day
latte
whole wheat tortilla w/ eggbeaters and turkey sausage
latte
1 slice homemade bread (a client brings this, it white, fluffy, and of absoutely no dietary value, but oh, so good)
shrimp creole w rice
watermelon
Gotta go to work on a weird schedule today. I have a lady for a manicure at 10:00, then nothing until 2:00. Think I'll go to two rivers park for a walk, or maybe back over the Big Dam Bridge. It's going to be a beautiful day! Let's everyone try to get out for a walk and a bit of Vitamin D!!!
Hugs to all, prayers to those who need 'em

Ah, the Faded Rose. You are right about the atmosphere, but they do have some good stuff to eat.
What a gorgeous day today. I took the afternoon off yesterday and made some pens. Gotta get the inventory up with the Holidays on the way. Gonna make some more today - found some great new acrylics to work with and with the cooler weather I can tolerate the garage much better than in summertime.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Here are my eats from yesterday - better than the day before.

Hey Steve,
do you buy the "Flat-out" wraps? They only have 90 cals and 9 grms of fiber. I made Asain chicken wraps for the girls at work the other day and they had no idea they were eating "diet" food LOL
Gary (dh) is a target shooter *****loads his own bullets and also roasts his own coffee beans. Both are so much more pleasant to do in the garage since it's cooler. That, and he's lost 75 lbs which I'm sure makes it better too.
Keep on keeping on!

Yep, The Flat-out wraps are the ones I use too. They make a great little pizza using some ff cheese and turkey pepperoni.
Great job for Gary on the 75 pounds. One of the side benefits of WLS. My 21 year old daughter has lost 70 pounds also. We help each other with staying on track. Gotta love it.

Happy belated anniversary!!! And you got some sunshine to go with it, albeit later in the day. Wasn't it wonderful to see all those clouds finally break??
We were going to hang out with some of my work buddies last night who'd set up in the RV tailgating area -- my 14yo had a dance at her school -- however, kiddo ended up feeling yucky so we had to scrap that plan. We did manage to squeeze in a visit to the Williams-Sonoma store! It was the first time I'd ever been there. I'm completely gadget crazy, and my undergrad work was in Chemistry, so cooking is right up my alley. I got all sorts of Christmas list ideas, LOL. And it was SO nice to be out in some decent weather. Today, my 8yo son has a soccer game, so we'll get to enjoy the sunshine again!
Here's yesterday:
Cup of mint tea
crackers
little bit of cream of broccoli soup
bit of deli ham and turkey
1/2 strawberry
2 popsicles
It was kind of an off day. My guts were not happy again. Hoping today is better...

HI Wendy,
Yeah, WS is a great store, too bad I can't afford to buy a toothpick there! I love to cook and I could just wander in there all day. There's a new kitchen store in Pleasant Ridge shopping center called (duh) the Kitchen Co, and I haven't been there yet, but may just need to go soon just to see what's what.
Sorry your innerds are acting up again. I'm concerned you're not getting enough protein. Hope today is better

Hey Sybul,
Looks like you're off the grazing track, good for YOU!!! Now, let's talk about fat and protein. Did your eggplant have low fat cheeses in it for protein?
I went onto a sweetpotato kick after my surgery. Never, ever would eat the things before, now I love them. For awhile I'd have them 2-3 times a week. Lots of vitamins and minerals in your eggplant.
Glad you're doing better!
