When I left Garland Co this morning, it was blowing pretty bad.  I was in meetings all day long at the capital so I don't know how bad it was outside there during the day.  This afternoon when I left LR, it was worst between Benton & HS - but it was just raining when I got back to Garland Co.

They are doing emergency broadcasting system here for the flash flooding.  But no wind/storm damage yet where we are (in Garland Co).  We are just VERY WET.  VERY VERY WET.

But I heard about an hour ago that there were tornados forming as the storm has moved to the northern counties.

So it got me to thinking about everybody.

Is everyone OK???

Things are ok here in Jacksonville.  Was a mess trying to get to Baptist and see Dr. Gibbs today though.  I had to deliver part of my mail route this morning...first time I've delivered mail in a hurricane...I kind of dread tomorrow.

Whew....I'm here.   Woke up yesterday morning to darkness....no power.  Took a shower with the water that was still hot in the tank and tried to decide if I was going into work.  So, I sat here in the dark and silence, with no lifeline(computer) WITHOUT my latte and finally got myself out the door to work.  Don't know what the point of it was....most of my clients cancelled do to the weather, but at least I was with friends.

Is it ever going to stop?????

Glad everyone is safe!

Susan

We missed the worst of it all here in Jonesboro. But we have gotten so much rain and wind. My yard is like a swamp right now, its terrible. But I know we needed some rain...I will be glad when it stops. I shouldnt be fussing..with so many having destruction to thier homes, or worse.. we have been blessed not to have experienced anything serious.

Altho... a related story here... my dh is an RN here at our main hospitals ER. They got in a 16th mo old baby in last nite... she had been secured in her car seat, properly in the back seat.. mom was driving.. they were either parked or at a stop light, not sure which.... the wind was so strong, the rain really hard...that it knocked a tree over on top of the car. It crashed thru the roof and landed on the baby...mom was barely touched... the baby is in serious condition and was immediately air lifted to Childrens hosp in LR.  I cant imagine..how horrible... dh said the parents were inconsolable...I pray that baby makes it..
