I usually check in 3-4 times a day too, just in hopes that someone is around.

Good luck with your first fill!

I'm always here...I have to agree the board is pretty dead. I am down to checking the AR board maybe 3 times a day...lol. The sad thing is that there is usually nothing new! I quit posting on the "watcha eatin" threads because I find that the less obsessive I am, the more progress I make. Go figure. I am currently going to an adventure bootcamp for women and I love it! They are totally kicking my butt into shape(it's an hour an evening/morning, 4 days a week for 4 weeks!). I could hardly walk last week, but this week is much better. I am actually trying to recruit enough people to give me a discount so that I can go again the next session. If anyone is interested, PM me and I can give you the info. It is currently being held at McNair Middle School. Oh yea, they currently estimate that I burn about 1000 calories in that hour

Hi Shawna,

Do you keep track of your daily food?  I understand the "obsession" thing, but mine is the opposite. If I don't keep a close reign on what I'm eating, I don't eat enough.  This is one crazy journey we're on, huh?

Wow.....I admire you for doing that boot camp thing!  Good for you for sticking with it too. Hope you're able to get some folks to go with you so you can get that discount. Any little bit helps these days, right?

I'm here, clutching my guts in queasitude, trying to make it to the next stage.  I read a lot but don't post much -- I don't want to ask questions you've already answered.  As for food and fitness, the thought of food makes me gag and I'm too tired to be fit just yet.  It's just an all-around struggle to exist these days.

But I'm rooting the rest of you on!

Honey, what's going on?  Is there anything I can do?  Just because someone might have answered a question before doesn't mean there isn't somebody who needs it answered again!

You just ask away, gripe all you want, vent if you need to. That's what we're here for.....well, at least me, anyway.

Thanks!!  :)

I saw Dr. B the other day, and he says that everything I'm experiencing right now is in the range of normal, so that's something.  I'm just a big wuss when it comes to nausea, mostly.  I really appreciate the encouragement, it's nice to have y'all to come to. :)

Here I am !!
I check this board at least 3 or 4 times a day but dont post much.. I dont feel like I have much to add most times.
I do love this board, everyone here is so supportive and understanding, I have seen what goes on with some of the other boards and believe me you guys are wonderful!!
I do have one small question about the walk... I would love to sign up and join everyone but I am a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone else, its still early in my weight loss journey and I have a bad knee, I can walk pretty good, just not very fast!! and I'am a little afraid that I might be embarrassed if I cant keep up with everyone else
How far do you walk?

Honestly, at bootcamp I jog, but the walk isn't a race. I'm not driving that far to jog through a race and go home, I don't really care if I'm the last person to finish! I wouldn't risk my health if your knee is that bad, but if all you are concerned with is speed, no worries. Besides that, I'm the slowest walker there is(seriously). My legs just aren't long enough to speed walk.

I can't go too fast either. I ruptured my Achilles a little over a year ago and it's not the best ankle in the world. In fact, my right leg is much smaller than the left due to the muscle atrophying, so I'll be pulling up the rear too!

Mary Lou, I'm glad you feel this is a good place to be, but please don't  feel you don't have anything to add.
We all have to remember that new people come here every day, and even if someone had a problem or concern two weeks ago, doesn't mean that there isn't a newbie needing the same help today. And, you never know how your experience might start a conversation that could help someone.

Yes, I agree we all get along pretty well here, compared to some of the boards. They do go at it, don't they?  Must be our "Southern Hospitality" that make us so nice???

The walk is only one mile, flat and most of all  at YOUR own pace.  We have specifically designed it to be friendly to all ability levels.  There will be plenty of medical types all along the way to help anyone who needs it.  Don't fret....you'll be in good company, I'm sure!
