Dr. Baker's Patients now what do I do
Ok Christy called me again today. She still couldn't find the last two reports she needed to send in. I am so thankful I got a copy of them at the doctors office the other day. I have faxed them once to her myself and today I scanned and emailed them to her, along with the wrong fax number. I guess I was so excited I typed it in wrong. We got it all together and finally it has been faxed into the insurance company. Christy also told me that if she gets an approval she can get me in office in Sept and surgery in mid Oct which is what I need. I asked about the blood work and I need to stop taking my Aleve for 10 days before the blood work. She told be to start doing that now. Dang, that was the one thing about getting pregnant that I hated. My back hurts really bad without it.
She also said she sent in for an open surgery since I still have my gallbladder. I was planning on it being lap, and she said I could if I wanted to it was just that I needed to be prepared for another surgery down the road.

Well that sounds like good news!
You are getting the surgery month you wanted/needed, so that is super!
I'm glad you asked about the labs/blood work thing I suggested. That is what hung me up for 2 weeks with getting a consult was my blood work not being "back" from wherever my PCP's lab "sent it off" to. That's what made me think of it. And Dr. Baker (from what I've always been told) won't see you without your lab work already being done. (That is even true post-op by the way.)
I agree about the gallbladder too. RNY (or any WLS) does not CAUSE gall stones, but rapid weight loss does. And since rapid weight loss follows most WLS, gall stones are sort of a given. That is one of the reasons I had my RNY done open.
Sounds like things are moving along great for you! I'm excited for ya'!

Blood work wasn't something I was considering taking very long but if I was still taking the Aleve it very well could have pushed my date back so thank you so much for mentioning it. I go tomorrow to see my sleep study doctor and get my CPAP. I will have that 3 weeks taken care of. I am actually looking forward to it. I have already slept with it one night in the clinic and I felt so much better that day. I actually eat a lot of times to stay awake so that should help with that problem. I don't smoke so I didn't have to worry about that. And I am walking most days, not 40 minutes a day but I am working up to it. I usally walk 20 minutes in the morning and as soon as it cools off some my daughter and I will walk when I pick her up from school another 20 minutes. We tried it the other day but it was just to hot. We may start walking in the mall though if I need to get that other 20 minutes in before I see Dr. Baker.
Choclate is somthing I am having problems with right now. I am craving it like crazy.
