New family member!!!
Hey guys and gals,
Just wanted to let everyone know that our little family expanded again yesterday.
We went to Little Rock to pick my aunt up from the hospital, and when we left we went thru Bryant to the bird store. (Bills Pets)
I went in totally expecting just to look around and see what was going to be our next major purchase, around Christmas or so. (We have had birds for a long time and then have been w/o one for 18 months) We had not even talked about purchasing one yesterday. I was in there walking around holding a baby quaker parrot and just happy, when I heard my dear sweet Mike ask Randy what the bargain of the day was. I thought, yeah right, just trying to make the store owner feel good. Well, I kept walking and they started talking bird prices, then Randy said, "Hey, I have a true bargain for someone like you" He showed us a one eyed red belly parrot. These birds usually sell for $350-$500. Well, I knew I could NOT swing that right now, but since he/she only has one eye, he sold it to us for $100!!!!!!!
So, now I have a 3 1/2 week old baby parrot living in my house who is on 4 feedings a day, and is the most precious baby I have ever seen. We named him Uno, due to only one eye. I will post pics of my baby as soon as I get them taken and uploaded. Not sure yet if Uno is male or female, but will know as soon as it feathers out.

Awesome and Congratulations!!! I would love to get another bird, we had a ****atiel about 10 years ago, she was the prettiest thing, all white and so proud she was. Only problem we ever had with her, she absolutely hated one of our roommates at the time, and she would do fly by's on him just to poop. LOL

Well, if I can remember to buy batteries tomorrow, I'll get some pics posted!!!! I always tell myself when I get to town, "I know Im forgetting something, I just cant remember what!!" Then I get home and my camera is sitting on my desk!!! DUH!!
