Went to OKC today for my appt with my surgeon.  Was suppose to be yesterday, but Dr. Walton wanted to see me instead of his nurse to discuss the problem with my cardiology report.  They told me he might want me to lose more weight.  That was like 2 weeks ago, so I have been tense since that time, just not knowing what he was going to say.  Like I said before, I had to lose 16 more lbs to be down to the 10% of required weight loss.  I got there today and lost 15 in about 3 weeks.  Well, doc comes in, happy with the weight loss, and all of a sudden, he says he is turning this into my PRE-OP APPOINTMENT!!!  He set a date!!!  I couldn't believe it.  Didn't even say anything about my report.  I was confused.  My surgery will be Sept 15th.  I am pretty much beside myself tonight.  Michael

Thanks everyone.  I am very excited, and so psyched right now, I don't even feel nervous, just ready to be on the loser's bench.  Amy, my wife now has foot problems, and has been put in a cast for about 5 weeks.  She is not able to walk on it at all during that time, so I have to take total care of her like pushing her around in a wheelchair, fix meals, clean house, do laundry, etc, etc, etc, plus do my job.  Bouncing off the walls and meeting myself coming and going, so unfortunately, won't be able to go.  This is why my surgery is not a little sooner, because I have to wait till she is up and around.  Michael
