Trouble Eating

I have been having trouble eating for a few weeks now.  It seems I get so sick after a couple of bites, and they are still the same little bites that I am supposed to be taking.  But I get that full feeling, like I ate to much after a few bites.
I have been blaming it on summer.  I go this month for my 1 year post op appt with Dr Baker and I will bring it up to him.

I also haven't been losing weight either.  I seemed to have stopped at 220 (give or take a few).  I swear I have been at this weight for atleast 2 months or so.  I think it is because I am not going outside walking and am not doing much in the house (besides normal housework or running after a 1 year old when I have her all day Mondays and every other Tuesdays).

So is it all because it's summer or is it me?

What does your intake look like?  What are you eating?  How many times are you eating per day?  How many calories are you getting in?  How much fluid are you drinking?  Are you taking your vitamins?  Etc.

Hi Evelyn,

The stall doesn't bother me as much as having trouble eating.  I think you should call Addy today and talk to her.  Just to be safe!! What's a phone call?

Hugs

Susan

I started to pay more attention to my eating, to see if it could have been something on my part.  And I think it is.  I guess I just wasn't paying much attention to meal time.  Like I do with as far as whats on my plate, but not during mealtime itself.  I found that I was not waiting half hour anymore before I started eating, after I had something to drink.  So with a half full pouch of liquids, there's not much room for the food, and it was probably expanding from the liquids making me feel fuller and sicker.  Also I saw that I was not chewing throroughly.  I never could chew 30 times, but I wasn't even chewing 5 times.  Also I saw that my bites weren't as small as I thought they were.  I guess I became careless while eating and never even noticed it.  So no wonder I was only able to get down a few bites before getting sick.

I saw that when I ate something that was like a puree consistency or super soft (like pudding, applesauce, etc) that I had no problems. So I am going back to baby spoons and my eggtimer and going to get back on track.  Atleast though my food choices are still staying healthy.  I would have figured that if I was going to ever mess up that it would have been with WHAT I ate and not HOW I ate.  So yeah, how you put food in your mouth is just as important as what you put in your mouth.
