Question of the day....

If you have children, what did you name them, and why?  If you dont have children, what would you name them, and why??

I think if I had a girl I would probably either name her Hazel, Margaret or Catherine.  And if I had a boy  maybe Edgar, I have not really though much on boys names.

I do have lots of fur babies and in all, living and dead, these are the names.
Cat: percy (female she will be 12 next spring

Turtles: Stinky & Sidney (living)

Rats: (Living) Harry, Whitey,Hemi & Jr (boys) - Squirt, Goldie, DustBunny & Mo (girls)
(deceased) Stuart, Shelby, Meggie, TwoTone, Scarface, Movada, Nutsy, Gonzales, Rascal, Nibbler, Pegleg, Mousey, Barry (I think that is all of the ones that have passed)

I named my first born after his father (my hubby), so they have the same name.  (I regret that now for various reasons, but that's a story for another time.)

I named my daughter Hannah because my favorite movie of all time is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.  The baby in that movie was named Hannah.  I loved that name and it was a bible name.  I had always heard that if you name ONE kid a bible name, you have to name them ALL bible names or the one(s) you don't may feel slighted later.  So since my son had a bible name, my daughter needed one too - so Hannah worked for that too. 

A more interesting answer is what did you ALMOST name your kids that you THANK GOD you DIDN'T???

I almost named my son Bradley Tristan.  (What can I say?  Brad Pitt is hot and I loved the way he looked in Legends of the Fall.)

I almost named my daughter Burgundy.  (There is no defense to that other than to say my hormones must have made me temporarily insane.) 

You always have the greatest questions! We have 2 boys. Joshua Lee (29) named after my little 2nd cousin I babysit when I was a teenager. I always knew I would have a boy! Had the name picked out from age 13. His middle name, Lee, is after my Mother. Our 2nd child, Jonathan Brent (24) was named Jonathan, after my Father and Brent after his other Grandfather. My only daughter, Lexi, age 4 is the 4 legged addition to my family, my black lab.
It was very interesting to read about everyone and their kids. It really helps to get to know each other!

My daughter is CECILY ALYN and my son is SEBASTIAN CHASE......
i did not want to name them anything that was popular at that time. I went way out there on both names and the good thing is they have not ran into too many Cecilys or Sebastians in school.

as for animals......too many to list....my Italian Greyhound is IGGY and my old cat that recently passed was MOZART.
