If you have children, what did you name them, and why?  If you dont have children, what would you name them, and why??

As far as human babies go, I have none of my own, but if I did, Ive always wanted to name my little girl Sara Elaine.  I dont know why, but as a child, thats what I named all my dolls and I still to this day, love that name.  As for little boys, I'd probably name him after his wonderful daddy and hope he turned out as grand.  Id name him David Michael Jr. and call him David.  Id like to name him after mine and his dad, but they had odd names.  Hugh Frederick and Junius Beverly (but we do call his dad Jack)!!

As far as animal children, Sierra was named when we got her, Coal, our black horse, well, self explanatory, our mules name is Fancy and her sisters name is Reba, hmmmm, reckon he liked Reba McEntire when he named them???  My male dobermans name is Thunder-riffic, b/c when he was born, he was so huge, I said he was gonna sound like Thunder running, and now at 80 pounds, he does.  Josie, our hog dog was named when we got her, should have named her Ms. Grouch!!!  Im on a roll, may as well finish!!  Ringo has a ring around her neck, so there ya go, Little Sam looks just like his daddy, Sam, so he got pegged and Booger got her name b/c I found her at my f/i/l house and he said, " I cant keep her but shes a cute lil booger"

Ok, so, what did ya name them and why??? Just something fun to take our minds off of the summer heat!!  Have a great day everyone, Im off to training for my job, be home this evening!!!

Ooooo this is fun! If I find out anyone steals my name, it's on!!!! I spent many years perfecting my (future) children's names...hehe

Of course I have one boy and one girl name picked out. Girl...Harley. I love the twist on girl/boy names, it is my great grandpa's name, the name is awesome and it is highly likely that a child of mine will be able to live up such a name. Also, it could be a boy name if I never get my girl. Middle name will probably be Michelle after my middle name or Joanne after my grandma's middle name. Boy name...Grayson. I love, love, love this name. The town I was born in and moved back to graduate in is an old German town. Very small and full of great people. One of the farmer neighbors was named Grayson. I can remember pondering the name as a child when my grandma would talk about him. Middle name will probably be Lee since it's my husband's. He has agreed to both of these names. I have backups that I liked but he didn't agree on...lol.

My current children...Watson is my yorkie. It suits him well, you'd just have to meet him. His name was either going to be Watson or Zeus. It took me about a day after I had him to decide and Watson it was. He's very smart and has quite a personality no matter what my husband says, HA! My border collie/blue heeler's name is Roper. Somewhat self explanatory (he's a herding dog). When we rescued two of his litter mates they were named Hank and Duke. They found a good home in Harrison after we rehabilitated them. That's all I got!

Oh yea, my last kid's name is Johnny Lee. He says his momma named him that after the singer which I find highly amusing.

I have one boy and one girl. My girl is Denise Danielle, Denise is my middle name and Danielle is my younger sisters middle name, I had her name picked out when I was really young. Thought they sounded good together.
My boy is Scott Ray. No real reason for Scott just looked in baby books and liked it. The Ray is after my dad.

My daughters name is Dallas Breanne. I also love the play on boy/girl names. She was named after a song by Alan Jackson called Dallas. My sons name is Austin Bryce. He was named after the original Austin on Days of our Lives.  Their middle names just sounded good to me and DH. Not until after we had both kids did we figure out that we would spend the rest of our lives explaining that our kids names had nothing to do with Texas. I do however call them my Texas Demons.  That is what my car tags says.

If by some mircale we can have babies the name I picked as a child changed when I got maried. LOL Before I got married I had Destiny Hope for a girl and I was never quite set on a boys name. But after getting married it all changed. Girls Name: Billie MayLynn or Billie MayLou, Billie is the female version or one of them for Billy and hubby's daddy's name is Billy and May is my mother-in-law's middle name, and Lynn is my middle name, Lou is my mother's, MayLou will probably win out as it will make the name all parents names. And for a boy BIlly Wayne Dolan, Billy again after the father-in-law, Wayne is hubby and father-in-law's middle name and my daddy's name is Dolan, so we would have all 3 men's  names covered.

Now we have some furry four legged children, Broc who is our 10-year-old rott/choc lab mix and Shadow who is our three-year-old  3/4 wolf / 1/4 malamute. Shadow is quite a handful but he's so darn cute can't help but love him. And if anyone tells you any animal does not have a personality of their own, was not raised around them. All the pets I have had or have, each one has their own personality.

My son is a 2nd  so he took his father's name Rick Alan II.  My daugher, well, I wanted to name her Margaret but my their father thought it was old fashioned so I looked in the baby name books and found Meagan, which is Irish for Margaret and much older than Margaret, but it worked.  She hated a little boy in her third grade class for calling her Meagan pagan ronald reagan. LOL  She still talks about that mean boy.  Ricky, now that he is grown, is just Big Rick.
