Do ya'll have a chat time? My first WOW moment!!!

I've noticed that the board has a chatroom.  I was wondering if ya'll have a certain time that you meet to chat.  On another board we used to meet at a certain time one night a week to all chat.  It was fun.  I've had my first WOW moment.  It may not seem like much but it caught me off guard.  I am almost 6 weeks out from surgery now and my granny jeans are getting too big (the chic jeans with the elastic waistband, lol).  I reached into the closet and pulled out what I thought was an older pair made out of the streatch denim that are a size smaller.  I pulled them on and thought, oh goody, I actually got them on.  After coming home, I decided to switch to shorts and as I was pulling the old jeans off, I noticed that they weren't the stretchy ones and then took a closer look and realized, I'm down two whole sizes!!!  I've gone from a 26 to a 22.  I know I'm still a long way out but it sure feels good.

That is great! I am 1 1/2 weeks out and this morning before church I was getting dressed and tried on a bra I had bought 6 mo ago that was way too little and today it fit just right. I t is amazing to me the little differences I notice every day. I can't wait for 6 mo to get here.  Robyn

The mystery of the disappearing boobs!!!  They ought to write another Nancy Drew book about that.  Why is it they are the first to go?  That was the only benefit of being overweight in my case I finally had some.  I've already had to throw all of my bras away, lol.  I got a bunch of sports bras so I can wear them a little longer between buying new ones.

The boobs always go first.  I am still wearing the sports bras because, in my case, they hold the girls in place.  One day big books, the next day, tube socks with marbles in the toe.  I know, wtf.

I don't know, but from a guy's opinion, there is no small WOW moment.  Everyone is a huge deal, and I say two sizes down is a HUGE DEAL!  Congrats!  Michael.

O.K., I was trying to be humble, lol.  When I noticed what had happened I called two of my sisters long distance and everyone I knew locally, lol.  Before I had the surgery I never would have dreamed of telling anyone my weight.  Now I can't wait every time I'm down a pound or two.  Do you have a date yet?  I saw your post to AmyBeth about being approved.  You guys make us jealous you lose so much faster than us gals.  At our two week visit after surgery, I was down 18 lbs. and a fellow that was done the same day was down 34 lbs., walking 2 1/2 miles a day to my 1 mile.  (He was even outwalking me in the hospital and I swear I was in that hall every hour when I was up, lol).

Doesn't it just justify everything you've gone through to get here?  WOW!!!! Two sizes already. Way to go!

That is a major WOW moment!

(Pull those jeans to the front of your closet.  You probably won't be in them long - you'll probably need a size smaller than that sooner than you might think!)

How exciting!  I remember when I finally started wearing regular jeans.  I started out at 400lbs and only wore a pair of grey sweatpants (my pant size pre-op was a 34 I believe).  But a few months after surgery, when I got to a 28 I started looking for jeans to wear (thank goodness for the clothing exchange here on OH).  Don't you just feel great in those jeans?
