My little bargain!!!!

Ok, so anyone who knows me knows Im a bargain shopper.  Dont like to buy if its not on sale, thrift store queen, etc.

Well, I went to the grocery store the other day, and decided to see if our little local grocery store had generic crystal lite.  And they didnt, so as I was walking down the aisle grumbling about small town store, I saw the sale tag on the Kool-Aid!! 
15/$1.00 and a coupon for 2 free!!!!!! I was so excited (amazing what excites me huh) I got 17, and was able to buy one of EVERY flavor.  Why does this excite me?? KoolAid is usually like 6 for a dollar and I am too cheap to buy it, I'll buy the generic, but wow!!!!

Anyway, came home, and my favorite so far is the watermelon cherry!!!  They have all these new flavors, what ever happened to orange grap and cherry!!!  Everything has 2 flavors, but I dont care, cuz dang they are good, except I dont like the Berry Blue, not only did it look like tidy bowl, it prolly tastes worse!!! 

Ok, I'll stop rambling now, just wanted to share my happy lil corny fun moment!!!!

I went crazy over pork n beans.  At Harps they were on sale four cans for a dollar and I bought about twenty cans. I know.  So, we are eating a lot of porknbeans. LOL

I was making lots of kool-aid with splenda for my roomie.  He really likes the watermelon kiwi (i think that's what its called).  But we have run out of our splenda koolaid packets and can't seem to find any store that sells them.  We had gotten them at big lots several months ago and ended up buying like 40 boxes of it.  Each box had 5 splenda packets that looked like a kool-aid packet and it was made just for mixing with kool-aid packets (or the generic if your cheap like me).  One splenda packet for one kool-aid packet, how cool!

I am a thrift store queen to, every thursday morning at 10am I head over to the Barkin Barn (a thrift store that all proceeds go to the local animal shelter) I got a gloria vanderbilt backless shirt and a boob tube, some pajama bottoms, a few button up shirts, a t shirt and a few other shirts all for a buck total.  Its what I could fit into a grocery sack for a buck (except jeans, dress outfits, bathing suits, coats or sweaters).

Also got my niece an old see n say toy from 1989 for a buck!  The cow says moooo mooo, the duck says quack quack! hehe

Mike and I buy the big bags of Splenda generic at wal mart, and use it in a canister like sugar.  I make my kool aid w/o sweetener, and we sweeten it by the glass.  Even have a little canister in the bedroom, cuz thats where we do most of our sitting.  I think we have a living room just to say we have one, cuz we are NEVER in there. 

That was just a suggestion for ya, on the sweetening so you can get back to your kool aid.  My favorite is the watermelon cherry!!!!  Sooooo good., but I like any of the kiwi flavors as well.  Have a great day!!!

That's a pretty good idea, I will have to tell my roomie.  He misses the kool-aids.  I, myself, prefer the wylers drink packets from walgreens.  They got a new flavor this year, cherry, and I have fallen in love.  I never liked any other brand of cherry drinks, but the wylers is so good.
