Well I'm a little late, but I spent the weekend at Grand Lake. We came home around 11 last night because my sister had her baby, but we spent Friday night and all day Saturday at the lake and now I'm fried!!!!

Carla,

Grand is in Oklahoma up North, it is a boating lake, if you want a swimming place you go over to snake creek on Tenkiller, they have roaped off areas by the camping grounds.

HA! Who wants to swim in snake creek? That sounds like the place I would die of a heart attack! Tenkiller is pretty dirty right now. We did swim in Grand Lake, but it is mainly speed boats. We stopped about 3 times to swim...you just drop the anchor and bail out! I'm sure that I was the biggest misfit there(besides my husband..tehe). We stopped at the yacht club (didn't even know these existed or what to expect) but they were having a charity event so it was fun. I swim on beaver lake or the white river around here usually. Those are also dirty from all the rain we've had in the past month.

This is actually post the weekend:

I had the grands so my weekend, starting on Friday, was full.  Took them to the safari in Gentry and after we drove through, we walked all over that place twice so they could look and touch all the little ones and see the big ones too.  Then, after being there all day, came home and while they watched Jaws, and granddad sleep, I made them dinner.

Sunday: we played in the water in the back yard.  We went to the park that afternoon and I chased the baby everywhere.  She thinks sand is food.  Go figure, a girl after my own heart who can see a food source in every single element. LOL

Snday evening, tutored the razorbacks, came home, and prepared dinner for grands and their mother and then they left and I finally rested.

Well I went most of last week without any internet.  The power cord to my modem stopped working.  But I was surprised it lasted as long as it did.  It was one of many (many many many) power cords that the wild rats chewed up last winter. So my roomie was able to put the cord back together with electrical tape.  So it made it through half the year.  Anyhow, the cord costs like 22 bucks at radio shack, and being poor, I had to wait till roomie got paid before he could get a new one.  Spent most of the weekend catching up on email.

But I did a lot of housework because the landlady is doing an inspection on all rooms in all apartments when the bugman comes (which is every 3 months, and he will be here this week).  So I have been mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows, washing walls, cabinets, appliances, furniture, dusting everything in site, cleaning baseboards, cleaning inside cabinets.  It has been so much fun *sarcasm*

Plus I deep cleaned 3 rat cages, gave baths to some of my 7 rats, nursing my oldest male rat right now, he is in resp. failure and was put on oxygen tonight  and has been getting updrafts multiple times a day (xopenex) for the last few days.  He may pass tonight, I don't know his back legs and scrotum are dark purple, and that is usually a sign that they will pass soon.  He is in a small cage with a heating pad in it (to keep him warm and keep the blood and oxygen flowing freely in him). I may give him some vistoril later to help him stay calm, because they tend to start stressing and freaking out the last few hours before they pass, because they are not able to get enough air in.
