Hello everyone. . .it has been a crazy summer around here with my surgery and the kids therapies. . .I am looking forward to fall - my favorite time of year.

As of today, I have lost 50lbs since consult - May 22 (surgery was June 2).  Have reduce my blood pressure meds from 100mg of Toprol & 160 mg Diovan to just 50 mg of Toprol.  And have stopped my insulin and reduced my diabetes oral meds from 8mg of Amaryl & 40mg Actos to just 20 mg of Actos.  Unfortunately WLS doesn't do much for my autoimmune issues and there are days I would contemplate selling my soul for 800mgs of Ibuprophen.

Congratulations on being able to lower your meds that much and on that 50 pounds - that's AWESOME!

I'll be hoping that your autoimmune issues get better.

I know exactly what you mean.  I have fibro too and was on 800 mgs of Ibuprophen 2-3 times a day.  Rainy days are the worst!  Thank goodness I still have my pain meds...

I know the feeling about the ibuprophen, but for me, it was alieve.  But, the more weight that I lose the better I feel and these days, the only time I think about the antiinflammatories is when we go hiking and over do it. LOL  It will get better.

Thanks so much for all the encouragement and prayers.

Who would have thought Ibuprophen was such a coveted little drug. lol

Wishing everyone a great weekend.
