Question of the day

I'm not exactly sure. I AM grumpy in the morning, but that's when I get the most done. I manage to get my butt out of bed at 515 and go walking every morning so that's a start. I also get up by 9 on the weekends even if I stayed out until 3am. Which brings me to the night part, I love to stay up late if there is something to do. HOWEVER, I work 730-430 and my commute is a good 30 minutes so I'm kind of forced into being a morning person. I go to bed by 10 or 1030 usually, but that's because I get up so dang early! Oh yea, I love my sleep too!

I so want to still be a night owl BUT, I am definately a morning person now. Since I have been grown, I have had to get up early and it just developed into a habit. I love to wait for the sun to come up so I can go outside and get my day started. I love the quiet mornings and watching the day begin. In the summer, we sit outside on the patio drinking coffee and watch the sun come up. There are MANY times I can't sleep so DH & I are at Walmart at 3am, passing time until the sun comes up. We both love it outside and we are both morning people!
Good question RhondaD BTW, the new avatar ROCKS!

I'm a night owl.  I like staying up late at night.  But I think my staying up late makes me like the morning less because I want to keep sleeping!

I honestly do not know what I am.  I like mornings and nite.  My parents drilled 10pm bedtime in me..and now at almost age 48..I still get sleepy around 10.

Hell, that's easy. I'm a morning person.  I go to bed, when I can, around 9 and am up by 5.  I don't lie in bed and think about getting up, nor do I set an alarm clock; my eyes just open and I strectch and then up and adam.  Not only do I just get up, but I begin going full steam.  I gather clothes, throw in the washer, make coffee, start breakfast, begin cleaning, if I'm not working, or if I'm working, I beging preparing for my day.

My mother always hated that I was an early bird, later, my hubby and kids found it annoying as well.  My husband always tries to get me to just lie in bed and cuddle but I can't do it.  Horozontal is for sleep--well there are other reasons to be horozontal but if I'm not doing that, or sleeping, I'm up and running.

Now, don't get me wrong, I can hang with the best of the nightowls, but just once or twice a week, because even when I stay up until three or four, I still wake up at five. Go figure.

Well, before kids I was a major night owl. Now I still go to bed at 11:00 but am forced to get up at 6:00 am by the pitiful cry of my littlest one, Owen... "Mamaa, dink, dink, hungee, HUNGEE!" It's so pitiful (and cute) that I have to get up right away and feed the child. Then he's zooming around like a crazy man emptying my freezer, trying to pick up the cat by the tail, flushing my lipstick down the toilet... while I try to wake up enough to catch him.

Aaahhh, motherhood. You've just gotta hang on for the ride.

I am basically a night person.  I like staying up till 2 or 3 a.m.  But, haven't slept good in quite a few years and will get up around 7.  Definately the complete opposite of lightswitch though.  I set the coffee pot to start about 10 minutes before I get up so it will be ready.  I have to drink my cups of coffee and try and wake up for at least a 1/2 hour or so.  There is no way I could get up and start doing stuff.  Michael
