Need a kick in the butt......
Ok, I need a big ole hefty kick in the butt. I cant seem to get off my arse and exercise. Im watching my flab getting worse and my energy level drop, but I still cant seem to do it.
Im going to work out after while, and I will post what I did, but would you guys please kick my butt daily and make me do this. Its easy in the fall when Its not hot, but I hate summer!!!!!
So I guess what Im asking for is accountability!!!!
Off to eat something healthy and then go to work out!!!!

I can totally relate it is sooooooooooo hot. I went out and tried to walk but oh my after a little while I was buring up. My hubby said something about this being ozone days what ever that means so he said really be careful cauz it could do some harm. I still try tho. I have so much trouble walking as it is with my legs in the shape they are in but I am still pushing myself and trying. My first goal is to be able to walk at least a mile without assistants by September 20th. So far I have made it 1/4 of a mile without help LOL.

getting back into a routine is the hardest thing to do. only you can do it. we can push and shove you with positive messages but honey its up to you to lace up those sneakers and hit it. I am still going every weeknight and an occasional saturday or sunday.
having a buddy helps. your cheating yourself.......thats a tough pill to swallow but you must get up and go. if you sit there and tell yourself you will do it later...it usually never happens. I understand about the heat.........I am a yankee. Is there a mall or indoor shopping center you can walk around on the swealtering hot days? What about a gym. ok if those optiona sre not possible then get some resistance bands, a swiss ball or stability ball whatever you call it, and some dumbells. You also need a way to raise your heartbeat....walk in place, jump rope, jumping jacks. Leslie Sansone has walking dvds at wal mart,.....i think they are for indoor walking. Everybody here can do push ups.......YES YOU CAN..........walk up to a wall stand away from it about 2 ft and spread your feet about 1-2 feet...place your hands on the wall and do a standing push up.....much easier.......
sit on the stability ball and lift dumbells, use the ball to do sit ups, do bicycle exercises on the floor.....I manage about 100 to my workout buddies 20.......with all exercise do set and reps.
Like 3 sets of 12 reps, then move on to another exercise. Always keep hydrated even more so in the heat. There are no excuses to not exercise...........I have used them all and now that I am helping people at the gym and taking the class.....I see just how many options there are for us.
Being accountable to yourself is key............no get off you ass and do it. Sorry if that offended you or anyone else....its called motivation!!!

I can't give you a swift kick because I'd have to kick myself too. I absolutely have to force myself to get on that treadmill every day. It's just too hot outside for me to walk out there. Can't wait till fall so I CAN get out there and walk. Don't be too hard on yourself. I'm sure we're not the only ones falling down on the excercise ladder during this hot weather. Cheer up, summer is about half over.

I hate exercising...I havent learned to like it yet..

I take my daughter swimming about 3x/week...but we have only gone once this week...with gas prices, Im having to be careful lately..
Next week, we will be going everyday bc our gym has this Healthy Children program..and my daughter is going to it for the next 2 wks.. so, I will swim while she does that..
