Hello!  I am feeling a need to open up more on here so I can get to know you all better.  I can see it will be a hard road without friends *****ally understand!  I went to Dr. Baker today for my 2nd consult.  I had lost almost 7 pounds!  I was so nervous because he makes it really clear that you had better not gain! I got my shakes and am starting them in the morning.  My surgery is July 16 and I have to admit I am getting nervous about it.  I love life so much that I hate to take any risks but on the other hand, I love it enough to want more!!  Did that make sense?  I need to go get a better blender tomorrow.  Any recommendations?  I want a good one that will really crunch up the ice.  The one I have now leaves big chunks....Thanks for all the help!  Jeannie

You will do fine Jeannie.  You are in good hands with Dr. Baker from what I hear, and the surgery isn't too bad at all.  I never really had bad pain.  Just do exactly what they tell you and you'll be feeling well quickly.  Looking forward to seeing you on the loser's bench! My blender is an Osterizer?  It works pretty well.

Hi Jeannie,
As far as blenders go I recommend the magic bullet. That is what I use and it has worked great for me. You seem to have a really good out look so I am sure you will be fine.

I seconbd Carla. The magic bullet does awesome on shakes. I find it hard to get that happy medium when i don't want something completely liquified, but hey...that's what you're going for here!!!

Thank you all!  I appreciate the encouragement and blender advice!  I have another question....do all the shakes taste like whipped egg whites???  I had my first one today and I thought..."wow!  This will be a long 2 weeks! " ha.....Is there anything to add to help that consistency?? Thanks again!
