2 wk post-op follow-up
Went in for the two week follow-up. According to their figures, I've lost 18.5 lbs.! They are using the weight I was at my pre-op visit a week before surgery. I have been figuring my weight loss from the weight I was the morning of surgery. Either way, I'm excited. We met with the dietician also and got filled in on what to eat and what to avoid for the next month. She told us about some calcium citrate lozenges that you can get on bariatricadvatage.com. I haven't checked it out yet as I have been busy making some peach butter. I'm about done so I have to scoot.
It's like ambrosia! It is one of Jack Spratt's favorites. Just peaches and sugar cooked down until it thickens and canned. Like apple butter but ten times better. Something I won't be having. I'm thinking about experimenting with making some jellies and spreads with sugar substitutes. I need to get all the stuff made for the rest of the family first though, lol.
Well shoot! I thought you meant it was going to be something for us picky eaters...lol. Let me know about your eqperiments. My husband eats SF jelly, but I think there's something funny about it
