Hello Again to everyone, I had my RNY on Monday bu Dr. Roller and I came home on Wednesday. The nurses and doctors were all great and I had a really easy time in the hospital. I thought the sipping part would be easier but I am struggling along with it. I do have to say that I am not in pain just sore like I did 1000 situps. The more I get up and move around, the better I feel. I wish all of you with upcoming surgeries nothing but the best!!! Talk to ya soon. I must go sip now. LOL Wendi

Welcome to the loser's bench, Wendi!!!!  You're feeling the same way I did after my surgery, just like I'd done a bunch of sit ups.  Do the best you can with the fluids, follow the rules and all will be great. Keep us posted

I have to say I am laughing a bit...did you make Dr.Roller take you home or did you go home with him? Glad everything went well.

Welcome home!  I'm glad you're doing well.  (Sipping was hard for me too.  It gets easier - don't fret.)

Wendi, glad to see you have posted and that you are on the mend. Every passing day will get easier. It is nice to see ( not really for you though) that even you ( knowing how important it is) to keep sipping are having trouble. I know getting my fluids in is still my main problem. I struggle daily. But love ya and glad to see your doing better. HAve you returned to work yet.

Hello again.  I will be returning to work tomorrow and I am looking forward to it. I miss my work when I am not there and I am not good at staying at home all the time.  Hey Shawna,  Dr. Roller threatened to take me back to work after recovery room!! LOL...I stayed the 2 nights because we found out that I have sleep apnea the night of surgery and they wouldn't let me go home until my sats were above 90%, also my blood pressure stayed around 80/40 the whole time. C you all soon!! Wendi
