I'm Doing Well

Ive lost a total of 60 lbs so far..  Im doing great with my Sleeve.  Its been a tough journey..but its worth it. Its been 2 1/2 months since my surgery. I have so much energy (at times). Yesterday, I went and walked around our mall here in Jonesboro.. I guess I was there 2 hrs or so. I took my friend with me. We took several breaks and sat down, but we walked from one end to the other. We stopped once and got a bottled water and I drank about half of it right there. It was a really hot day yesterday...got up to 94 deg outside. Yikes...and its just starting to get hot. I dread that. I got a new car. a 2008 Honda Civic. Ive been having fun driving it. Its so easy. I fit in the seat and behind the wheel really well for a change...the seat belt even fits!  I hate seat belts, but Im trying to get back in the habit..the car beeps at me if I dont put it on lol My husband finally graduated RN school last month...started working in the ER at our main hospital here. He takes his licensure test next week.  My baby girl is off at church camp this week....Ive missed her like crazy. Its her first time away from home like this. I think shes handling it much better than me. She left on Monday and comes home on Friday...days are going slow for me. lol Im staying home today....every muscle in my body hurts from my walking trip yesterday...but Im proud that I could do it...the last time I went to the mall, I took my power chair. It seemed odd being there without it.  hope everyone is good...

I'm so happy that  you are doing well....that first walk is always the best and always painful afterwards....Congrats girl....new car...and it works well with you...i have to actually move the seat up and lower the wheel...congrats lady bug...

Thank you!  I am still so sore.. I walked some outside today.. but it was so hot, I didnt want to stay out too long... I will be glad when the heat doesnt bother me so much

Hey Lisa, way to go on losing 60lbs!!  Have you taken any new pics yet?  I took pics every week for the first month and then every month for the next 6 or so months, I have slacked off, but I am going to try take a pic this week, I always wear the same nightgown in each pic so I can see the difference!  I would love to see how much you have changed!  60 pounds, wow! Keep up the good work!!

no, I havent gotten in any pics since before surgery. I have decided to wait til I lose 100 lbs. I really dont want to have any more pics of me at this size.  I bet that night gown is falling off of you by now, huh?

Yeah it falls off of me, but I still wear it sometimes.  I guess it is the old me thinking that I am still a 5x even though I wear 1x and 2x.  But wearing the same thing in each picture, you can really see how much change there is.
