R'ya Movin??? Monday Edition!

Moving was a little harder today because it was HOT (91 degrees on my porch when I started walking, 90 degrees when I finished).   BUT... it actually felt good to push myself a little bit.  (And it was pushing myself, especially towards the end of the hour.) I drank 20 ounces of fluid in the first 45 minutes (at which time I literally ran out of what fluid I had carried with me, so the last 15 - 20 minutes I was bone dry).  I'll be well over 100 ounces of fluid for the day today.   I heard that post-op RNYers were supposed to take in 20 ounces of fluid per hour MAX.  I don't know if that's for people more than a couple of months out but less than a year out or if the 20 ounces is a myth all together.  Anyone hear anything like that or know what the rule is?  I need to email Addie or Courtney and see.  I don't want to hurt myself.  Drinking is SOOO much easier now that it's getting hot outside. So anyway, after walking for an hour, I went down to the pool and floated around a little bit.  I hesitate to call that actual exercise because all I did was literally float around on an innertube while my daughter played hysterically around me.  But it was worth mentioning I guess.  LOL So what about you guys?  Did YOU move today???

HI! You are sooooo right, it was HOT today and very humid! I could take the heat itself but the humidity makes it almost unbearable! I decided to just walk inside on the treadmill instead of going to the trail because of the heat! I walked for 45 minutes (not sure the distance but I think a little over two miles or something like that). I was going to get on the stair climber too but never got around to it! Maybe I'll do a little before bed! Who else is moving??   Karen

Well, I didnt do any organized moving today, I did some housework, several loads of laundry, whichi I hung out on the line, and then brought in folded, and put away, did some walking at "the barn" and then came home and worked on putting up the pool.  So hot today that it was hard to do anything outside for any length of time.  The seizures are getting more regular so I am having to be careful.  Im going to do more work on the pool tomorrow, and gonna try and go to the gym tomorrow as well. Good luck to everyone in the heat!!! Hugs, Rhonda D.

I had my niece with me today, she is 11 months old.  Does that count as exercise?  She has me on my toes all day, she loves to run and she loves to make me jump up after her, LOL.

Wen,
I WORKED outside most of the day. Boy, was it ever hot! We had several large limbs that fell, due to the storm. I was off and on the tractor all morning and most of the afternoon, loading limbs and doing a little work on the fence. Trimmed hedges and weeded flowerbeds. Everything was going great till about 4:30 and I decided not to round up. I went to the barn to put the trailer up and drpooed the trailer on my toe! Poped the nail right off. Spent 2 hours at the ER. Thank goodness nothing was broke but I needed a tetnus shot so I had to go. My evening walking was out of the question at this point. I just hate that happened because I just got a pedicure!
I will count my movin' today as working in the yard!
