Hello Everyone!! I am so excited to be on the last few days of preop.... My surgery is fast approaching and I can't wait. I am getting nervous though. This will definitely be the biggest surgery of my life. I totally trust the doctors and nurses that will be taking care of me and I know them all really well. I just wanted to know what some of ya'll did to help with the last minute jitters. Thanks, Wendi

Hey Wendi, I'm with you!! I'm excited and counting these last few days as well. It's nice to see that I"m not the only way feeling this way. It's like a thousand things run through your head at the same time. I feel happy, giddy and yet nervous. I too trust my doctor but like you said this is a big surgery. It's funny though, one of the things I did today was dig into the very back of my closet. You know... the place where you still have things hanging you forgot about. In my little corner I found it, the thing I've been hanging onto for so long... my onetime favorite pair of jeans. I called them, "my good ass day" jeans. They're a size 13 and I've had them all these years. I no longer own any other "normal" clothes but I never could bring myself to get rid of these jeans. One day... I'll have a good ass day! Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi and good luck with your surgery, and to let you know we're in the same boat.  Just remind yourself those jitters are normal and we'll be on the other side before too long. As a suggestion, I've been spending my time gathering up and printing out all the helpful tips from everyone. I'm making a binder of things that I might need to know about and suggestions; especially recipes or foods that seem to be well liked. Good luck Wendi, I'll see you on the other side! Peg

As you know, my surgery wasnt set in stone until about 6 days pre-op so i ended up working my butt off getting everything in order at the office since i would be out a week. I cleaned my house top to bottom so I wouldnt be tempted to do things I shouldnt be doing while the week that I would be home after surgery. Other than that, I haven't any ideas besides walking the stress/anxiety off or going to Wal-Mart
