I know I havent been around much, but I have been so busy this week with training for the new job, and finally last night time to fish a little at the AR River!!!  But Thursday I had a WOW moment that wasnt loud, announcing and huge until I got home and realized it for myself. Thursday I went to Magic Springs w/CASA, the organization I'll be working for.  One of the ladies that went with us happens to be my best friend, and she is in a wheel chair due to Spina Bifida.  She is completely independent, self-sufficient, but lets face it, for those of us who have been to Magic Springs, we know its alllll up hill BOTH ways, lol.  So Jenn and I were like glued to each other.  I pushed her all day, up and down the hills.  All over the park, from one side to the other, all day long, from 11 am to 6:30 pm.  I didnt think alot about it, b/c when she and I are together, its just instinct to help her out on hills and such. When I got home that night, DH asked me if I was tired, and I said, "no, not really, why?"  Thats when it hit me, if it hadnt been for WLS, I could have NEVER walked those hills myself, much less, pushed up hill and been the brakes going down hill for over 150 pounds of dead weight (her and chairs weight combined).  I was thrilled.  No, I havent been working out like I was supposed to, I dont always eat like Im supposed to, but that was quite possibly my biggest wow moment to date, walking almost 8 hours up and down hills pushing and pulling that chair, and I forgot to mention, lifting her out of the chair and carrying her to the rides then lifting her out and getting her back in her chair!!!!!   Im not patting myself on the back here for helping her, I would do this for her daily, she is my best friend, confidant, and Id do anything for her, Im just excited over the fact that I can do it all and NOT be tired at the end of the day!!!! Hope to be around more in the future, maybe next week will be slower. YEAH RIGHT!!!!! Rhonda D. the one who can push and pull ALL DAY LONG!!!!!

You give me hope that maybe in 6 months or so, I will be able to keep up with my kids and go a full day with them without feeling like I am going to colapse before the end of the day. Alice

Awesome Rhonda!  I can relate somewhat, as I'm carrying around about 130 extra pounds..while trying to walk and deliver mail.  I have only 2 weeks left to join you on the losers bench.

Keep up the good work!
