Does anyone know of any good cabins to rent along the Buffalo River?  We like to stay around the Buffalo Point area.  Thanks!! Eliza

I'm not sure about cabins, but my husband and I went to a bed and breakfast called the Buffalo River Lodge. It was awesome! The food was amazing - too much for me to eat but it was great. They even prepared dinner for us if we wanted - which we did. It wasn't too far to get to the river from there but not sure how close you want to be. I'm actually taking a group on a float trip this weekend so if I see anything I'll let you know. How this helps! AT

Well I'm not exactly sure where that is, but I find alot of nice vacation rentals on vrbo.com. That is where my husband and I found the cabin we stayed in on our honeymoon as well as the big cabin we got for the wedding party before our wedding. It may be worth a try to see if the area is lsited on their website!

You can call the BOC - Buffalo Outdoor Center and they have cabins for rent or you can also call Lost Valley.  They offer much smaller rustic type cabins which we prefer. Both are nice options.   Here is the link for Lost Valley with their info:   http://www.arkansas.com/places-to-stay/attr_detail.aspx?id=2 3384&r=Ozarks&city=Ponca Here is BOC  with their link:  http://www.arkansas.com/places-to-stay/attr_detail.aspx?id=2 3290&r=Ozarks&city=Ponca You can also go to this main page and look under:  http://www.arkansas.com/places-to-stay/cabins/ Ponco Compton (Which is close in the area)  Marble Falls (which is in the area as well)  Hope this helps and that you find the info you are looking for.  You should have a great time. Don't know if you are taking kids or not but, my 4 year old LOVES to go and jump off the Ponca Bridge.  Have fun.  Shannon

If you've never been to Ponca, DEFINITELY A MUST!  Lost Valley has two very rustic bunk houses.  Cost is $7 a night per person.  When I say rustic, I mean rustic.  Only have bunk beds but across the driveway is a bathroom with shower and sinks.  You can also try Azalea Falls http://www.azaleafalls.com/  if you are wanting something very nice and luxurious!  They have two houses on 90 acres.  I've only stayed in the original home on the property.  It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  But, a bit pricey.  If you are wanting something closer to Buffalo Point, why not stay at the park cabins?  Here is the number 870-449-6206 and website http://www.buffalopoint.com/accommodations.php .
