As everyone knows if you have been reading all the posts, I have become hooked on fishing (no pun intended).  I have always enjoyed it, but this summer it has become my favorite past time, and Mike and I have done our dead level best to do as much fishing as we can.  We have access to a couple private ponds close to the house, and with gas so high, thats pretty much our entertainment.   Well......today we went fishing and as soon as we got to the pond, and I got my hook in the water, the cork didnt stop, and it was a huge bream, and it was like that the entire time we were there.  We caught 88 bream in about 2 hours.  Sooooo much fun, they we all good sized fish, bigger than my hand, many bigger than Mikes.  It was so much fun, made me so thankful to be on the pond bank.  If we hadnt caught anything it would have been fun, b/c I love the water and love to watch the ducks and geese and listen to the cows and horses.   So, what did you do today that made you smile!!! My smile moment came when I went shopping with my husband late this afternoon.   I bought a new workout suit.  The shorts were size SMALL!  The shirt was a size LARGE because I didn't want it tight.   I cut the built in bra out of it and used my own sports bra (that I bought the other day). I still need some good tennis shoes, but shopping for tennis shoes is about as frustrating for me as bra shopping if you can believe that.   My smile came when I saw myself in the size small shorts.  I thought I looked pretty hot!

Wow Rhonda, 88---that's a lot of fish cleaning. My husband and I love to fish too. I told him how many you caught and he said that yeah they are spawning right now. He said that during the first full moon of May and June is when the brim and catfish spawn. So happy fishing. I'm jealous. I love to fish.

O fishing, I love fishing back in the early years of my marriage before my health got worse, I used to go fishing nearly every weekend with my baby brother (who is 19 yrs younger than me) at the time he was 5 and well I was 24 . Was such a joy to watch him catch a fish, he'd take them home with no matter how big or small he caught I just couldnt tell him no. And he loved it so much he'd call me everyday nearly monday thru friday to make sure I was going to be there that next saturday to go fishing with him. He's 16 now and we was talking other day about why I hadnt done fishing with him in so long and we decided after the weight loss we would start our fishing trips again. I think it will be so much fun to do.  And with gases as such my parents have offered to help with gas for the 80 mile round trip to go. Terri

Hey Darlin' Sounds like you and Mr Mike are having a bunch of fun fishing. Most of all, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!!  That's what counts most I soooooooooooo love fishing, but not the kind you do.  We spent many, many days and evenings deep sea fishing in San Diego. What you catch here is about the size of our bait, so  it's hard to get excited about catching itty bitty ones.  We're trying to figure out a way to go out on a boat while we're there in July....sigh....family will probably keep us from it though. Take care and don't go and over do it again! Hugs
