denied on first attempt
Well I just want to give everyone a update I havent been on here in awhile I actually got denied on my first attempt. I had completed a 6 months diet but they said my progress notes wasnt good enough for them. So I am half way through my 6 month diet and I was wondering what I will need to do when I complete it will I have to start the hole process over or will the insuraunce get the diet notes and go from them. Any advice would be helpful and I wanted to thank all the people that have emailed me wondering how i was doing I am still here and still trying to join everyone on the loosing side.

Hello Mike,
I am sorry that you were denied. Honeslty, it all depends on your insurance as to how much you will have to do over again. Some insurances will just take your diet and exercise and re-review your case and others will make you do it ALLagain. I would check with your program's insurance specialist and they can tell you what to expect. Best of luck to you.

Keep on your 6 month diet and re apply again, over and over again if you have to.
I would call your insurance and find out exactly WHAT they require you to do for them to pay for the weightloss procedure you are wanting. Then work on those.
Also you can check out the insurance section of Obesityhelp and look up your insurance company and see what others had to go through.
