ingredients: 1/4 Tumaro's Gourmet Multi-Grain tortilla (bake it a little first to get it a little "crusty") 2 teaspoons generic pizza sauce (because 1 tablespoon seemed to be too much last time) 1/8 cup 2% shredded cheddar cheese 1/8 cup 2% mozzerella  1/4 cup raw ground beef (makes < 1/4 cup when browned) Baked at 350 for a few minutes. Better and worse. It definately tasted better and more flavorful than the pepperoni & mozzerella alone did.  But it was worse calorie/fat/etc wise. Calories: 205.67 Fat: 12 Net Carbs: 2.92 Protein: 18.32 Calories way too high for my taste.  Fat % is worse than the pepperoni was.   Oh well.  I'll keep tryin.   (It did taste really good.)

Hey Wendy, Would you have this as a meal?  Say lunch or dinner?  If so, IMHO 205 calories isn't too much as far out as you are. Aren't you supposed to be around 1000 cals a day?  If so, this would be one meal, leaving you with over 800 cals for the rest of the day.  I don't even see that the 12 grams of fat are too bad considering you're getting in protein from the cheese and ground beef.  Yes, the turkey pepperoni would probably be better, but there are good points to beef as well, like the iron that you get from it. Hugs

The fat % is over what Dr. Baker recommends (20 - 30% of calories from fat).   I think I'm going to have to go with fat free cheese to get it down to where it ought to be.
