It has finally happened after almost a year. I just found out today that Medicaid approved me.  Dr Fuller's office sure works fast once they get the go ahead. My date is 5-20. I have so many things going through my head. I wonder why I am here, why I did this to myself etc... Does anyone remember those feelings? I am so excited but nervous too. Thanks for letting me vent.   Tina

Hey Tina, The night before my surgery I sat and sobbed. I couldn't believe that things had gotten so out of hand with my weight that I needed surgery.  What you're feeling is totally normal, in fact, I'd worry if you weren't nervous! We'll get you through this and you'll be fine.

Congratulations Tina! Trust me, what you are feeling is normal but after its over with and you have recovered and become accustomed to all of the changes to your body and eating habits, you will see what a great thing you have done for yourself. Keep your chin up and keep telling yourself you can do this and YOU WILL! Take care and have a great day!   Karen

Hey Tina, Congratulations. That is wonderful. I am only five weeks out from surgery, but I can tell you I was feeling the same way you are right now. All that stuff went through my mind. The night before I was a nervous wreck. But my family was so supportive and told me to just keep remembering why I started this journey, to be healthier, and it really helped. I couldn't have done it without my family. Good luck to you and keep us posted. Also I am from Hot Springs also. So maybe sometime after you have surgery and want to carpool to a support group meeting, just let me know.
