New Daily Exercise Thread
I'm going to start a daily exercise post. I hope it will:
1) help keep me on track (please God)
2) let those of you who already exercise toot your own horn
3) motivate some of you who AREN'T exercising to start.
Regular exercise has many mental, emotional and physical benefits. Not surprisingly, it is imperative to incorporate exercise into your life to increase your chances of getting to goal and staying there. In fact, research has shown that 75% of patients who incorporate exercise
into their life GET to their goal and STAY THERE. With odds like that... I want to be in that group! JOIN ME!!!

I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I was just thinking about doing a thread like this in the mornings when I do the Whatcha Eating thread! You had a great idea! We need to keep this one going too!
For exercise today, I will be playing Simon Says with my Second Graders at recess. Also, this afternoon, my brother and I will go to the nature trail (we call it the track) and walk 2 miles. We usually walk the two miles in about 40 minutes so I think that is pretty good!
Come on everyone...............HOW ARE YOU EXERCISING TODAY??
Karen
Hey, glad to hear you're coming!
Thanks for asking.....my eyes and forehead are still a bit swollen, not that you'd notice unless I pointed it out. My skin is all new and wonderful, so, so far, I'm glad I did it.
My stomach is another story. I still have to wear the dang binder, which drives me NUTS!!!! I'm being good and wearing it all day and most of the evening. I'll be glad next week when Gibbs tells me (hopefully) that I can take it off.
Eating is a new adventure. It's like I have started from square one with my rny, but worse. Meat and chicken are no longer my friends, and if I eat or drink the least bit too fast UP it comes. I never had that happen before, so I'm learning all over again.
Are you sorry you asked???
Susan
Im so freaking sick today, best I can hope for is the energy I burn getting clothes outta the washer and hanging them on the line. I love line dried clothes, and since my dryer is fritzed, there ya go.
If I can breathe this evening, I may take a stroll down the road. Ive got to get these lungs under control before I do much, all that yard work last week just almost killed me, litterally.
But Im cheering on everyone else, I'll be back in the game soon.

Wendy,
I think the exercise thread is a great idea. I didn't see it until today. Here's my entry.
Sunday - Ran for 21 minutes and walked for 6 minutes. (I run my first 5K race Saturday - wish me luck!)
Monday - 30 minutes of weight training with a personal trainer (5:30 a.m. Ugh!!)
