After my surgery date was cancelled in March we, set a new one for Monday April 28 at 6:30. I am now five days out and wondering what did I do to myself. (like everyone else says on here) I have five holes that are glued and I am soooo sore. They had a hard time finding any meds for my nausea, nothing worked for me. So I couldn't take any pain meds because I would vomit. I would press the pump for pain meds then start vomiting. Bad few days. What is the best thing for the gas feeling, I feel like my stomach is going to blow up!!! I am using a heating pad, and trying to walk, any other sugestions? The only great thing I can say is I am sleeved. Thank Goodness.

you will feel better; it just takes a week or two.  For the gas, just walk and the walking helps the gas works its way out.  I know it will be hard, but walk and stay upright because your strength comes back quicker.  Congratulations on getting sleeved.

I am sorry to hear you are feeling bad.  Who did your surgery?
Life is not the way it's supposed to be.  It's the way it is.  The way you cope with it...  is what makes the difference."

I used Dr William McAlexander in Jonesboro, he has been great, my problem was with the night nursing staff, I called three times before a nurse came to help me. I was vomiting and dry heaving(?) After she came, and I told her to call my Doctor, she started getting her orders for meds to stop the vomiting. (we tried three kinds of pain meds and three for vomiting) I think that was the worst pain ever, and knew it wasn't good for my new small tummy. I am still real sore today, and for some reson I want to cry easy today. I am ready to get through this...part. I am down 10 lbs !!!

I took simethicone drops (mylicone drops they give infants) f*******mediately post-op.  I had to take a butt load of drops (they ARE for infants after all), but it worked.   Good luck.
