Surgery re-scheduled

My surgery was scheduled for this Thursday and I just found out I have to wait till Thursday May 1st,   I am sooo disapointed  it turns out that I was supposed to quit my plavix 10 days before surgery and I didn't know it! Tonya, at Dr. Wellborn's office, had e-mailed my instructions to me on April 12th and I never got them....I get about 100 junk e-mails a day and hers must have got in with them I hate junk mail.... I dont need anything enlarged or a fake rolex or any enhancement medications....... oh well, things happen for a reason sometimes thats the end of my rant, thanks for listening Mary

I'm so sorry that you have to wait, but maybe it's for the best! : )

I am sorry that you are having to wait.  But it really is for the best.  Any medication that can thin the blood or "promotes" bleeding in any way really MUST be stopped 10 days before surgery.   So even though I know you're frustrated, they really did postpone it for your own safety.   It is okay Mary.  It is just one more week.  You can make it one more week.  Everything really DOES happen for a reason!  Look at this as a good sign.  Just think, years from now when you are living your new improved life and you remember back to when you had surgery, 5-1-08 is a lot easier to remember than 4-24-08.  (I know that sounds lame... but I'm a numbers kind of person so it makes sense to me!) 

Thanks for the pep talk, your right May 1 is easier to remember anyway! Mary
