welcome aboard Jessica.
I live to far to be a workout buddy but hopefully you will find someone. I know you will get plenty of friends and support here.

Hi Jessica! I'm too far away to be a workout buddy!  But I love the recipe forum on here, especially since they changed the format so that it is like all the other forums.  (Can you say sugar free peanut butter cookies?  Yum!) I don't have any recipes to share because I am the farthest thing from Betty Crocker you could imagine.  But I do GET some good recipes on there every once in a while.  It's DEFINATELY worth bookmarking and checking every couple of days! Welcome to the forum! Wen

Hi Jessica! I'm Karen. I'm 24 and I teach 2nd grade! I had Lap-Band surgery in June of 2007. I used Dr. Wellborn in Little Rock. So far, I have lost 105 pounds! It is by far one of the best things that I have ever done for myself! Sorry we can't be workout buddies. I live in Lexa which is near Helena so  we live too far apart! I would love to collect some good recipes too! I like to cook so I am always looking for something new! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself! Take care and have a great day!   Karen

I can't help but giggle at your surgeon's name.Oh that's funny. I don't know if I could take him seriously! Congrats on your loss. I still love to cook even though I can't eat much! I cook some of the items I cooked pre-op...just healthy!  I will tell you guys one recipe I stumbled upon that I love. Shake 'n Bake chicken with the Parmesan kind....bake it. When it's about done, put some marinara on top with some shredded 2% mozzarella. It's FABULOUS! Just be sure to chew! I cook whole wheat noodles to go with my husbands.
