Yesterday, I went to Sams. Didn't realize it had been a year since I had been to Sams but anyway, as I was going thru the check out, I flipped my card over and OH MY GOSH!!!
My picture looked like someone else! I was so shocked my Brother & Sister-in-law (who were in the next check-out) knew something was wrong, by the look on my face, so I just left the line and showed them the pic! They laughed so hard! I just can't believe it was me in the pic! TOTALLY AMAZING! I am still the same ole me on the inside but quite different on the outside! By the way, my nephew had rollers on his shoes sooooo him & I raced down the isles at Sams. He thinks his Aunt Rhonda is way to cool! ( I kinda think he is too!) Oh yea, he won! I was handicapped with the buggy! LOL
Thanks for sharing my latest WOW moment with me!

Congrats!!  That is a wonderful nsv!   You can beat your nephew next time!!  lol.  It is wonderful that you are still the same person you were on the inside, some people change and are never the same.  You are an inspiration.  Have a great day!

Good job, Rhonda!! I need to get a new driver's license, Visa card and Sam's card for the same reason. One of these days someone isn't going to accept one of them from me. But, every time I take one out of my wallet it's a reminder of how far I've come, a even if it's a brief reminder. Thanks for sharing your NSV with us. We each have them every single day and we shouldn't take them for granted.  Next time, dump the buggy

Karen,
One of the most desired outcomes of my WLS was to be able to play with the kids again! I am so blessed today that I can say, whatever the kids want to do....I can do it (or at least attempt it). I run, I jump on the trampoline, skate, bowl, ride bikes, swim, play wii, and anything else they want to do! The other day I challenged my 23 year old son to do a roll over flip.....He thought just because I was fixing to turn 49 this month I COULD NOT DO IT! Needless to say, I did it with ease and he continuously struggled until finally he (sorda) rolled successfully. I wish I would have kept a more detailed journal of the past year.....that is my only regret with my WLS.
Thanks for sharing with me...you guys are GREAT!
Huggs,
RhondaT

NSV-non scale victory It means those victories and goals that we accomplish that do not reflect in the numbers on the scale. For instance, fitting into an old pair of jeans that you have not worn in a long time! Things like that! Hope this helps!   Karen
