Thursday's meeting
I didn't go When I called my sister yesterday afternoon she hadn't even asked her husband yet, so I took it to mean that she didn't want to. Plus she was worried that the weather would be to bad. So I told her not to worry about it, but that I wanted to go next month. So that gives her a whole month to ask her husband, LOL.
I really did want to go. I just wish there were more people near me that go. Then we could carpool and split gas costs.
Hopefully Wendy will be on soon and can give us all the details of the meeting!!

Hey Susan!
Welcome back. glad you are doing well.
I had Family Night last night with brother & Sister-in-law. By the time I realized it was meeting night, It was to late to cancel with family. The weather creeped me out so I probably would have stayed at home anyway. Would like to know how things went .........
Huggs,

Susan, I am glad to hear that you are doing well!
The meeting Thursday went fine. There were a LOT of people there. We were bursting out of the DRS room. The only RNY post-ops there were me, Rhonda (horselady) & her hubby, Ryan and the Smiths. There was one revision & his wife (who I didn't know). There were also some post-op banders that I didn't know. Most of the people there were pre-ops as usual.
We were together the whole time (pre & post-ops together). It was like Lauren's normal pre-op support group where she talks about the hospital experience, etc. At the end, she asked the RNY table if we wanted to say anything. We each stood up and told who we were, when we had surgery, how much we'd lost and gave suggestions on what we could think of.
Did you give out the magazines? I wish Lauren would have let you guys be on your own, don't know why she didn't. I had told her I wasn't coming and that you were going to take the group. Oh well, thanks for the try.
I'm not sure who the Smith's are. Do you mean Eric and Judy, the ones who come from down South?
Talk later. Star Wars is on!
I'm such a geek
Susan
I did give out the magazines to post-ops only.
I got there at like 5 minutes 'til 6 and everyone was already together - so maybe that's why? I didn't ASK to seperate the groups though! (I knew I was supposed to give out magazines but I didn't know I was supposed to "take the group"!)
The Smiths are from Hot Springs. I don't remember their first names - I'm SOOO bad!
(I'm waiting on Battlestar Galactica - that qualifies me as a nerd too!)
Susan,
Glad you are on the mend. Sorry I missed the meeting on Thursday but I have a good excuse. I am participating in the 'Women Can Run' clinic. We run on Monday and Thursday at 6 p.m. I thought the weather would be bad they would cancel the clinic. I hate to say it, but I was disappointed when the weather cleared up!
