UAMS Psych Consult

I have had an appointment with Dr. Hyatt for a Psych consult for almost 2 months. Got a call today that he is quitting and they have to reschedule.  Now my appt. has been pushed back to late May. I just feel like crying because I thought this was almost over and now it isn't. Does anyone know of another psychologist or psychiatrist that takes Medicaid and does bariatric consults. Thanks for you time.

I went to Becky Porter in Little Rock.  I don't know if she takes Medicaid but you could call and find out.  I got in to see her in 2 weeks. 

I saw Jada Vaughn in Searcy.  She was with the White County Behaviorial Health Services. (501-268-4181)  Only bad thing was that I had to really stay on her to get my eval. written up after our visit.  So check with your county health services and ask if anyone there is experienced in doing psych evals. for bariatric patients.  And I'm not sure about the Medicaid thing.  My guess is that a county/state run facility would be likely to accept Medicaid
