I've been dealing with a hypo thyroid for over 20 years. Dr's have always had a problem trying to get my levels within a good range. I have taken both armor and synthrod and am currently taking both meds.  My weight keeps getting higher and higher energy level lower and lower. I have had all the lab work done to have lapband surgery done and received a call yesterday  can't do the surgery because my TSH levels are currently 8.87 Has anyone else had this problem and do you have any suggestions.

ARe you taking your thyroid meds with any other meds like anything with iron or calcium in it?  Sometimes the iron will block the absorption of the thyroid.
