I'm crazy with my nerves.... so much I need to get done.  What is the quickest anyone has went back to work?  I'm trying to secretly do this, but I don't know when to tell them I will be back.  I work a desk job having the lap-band

lap band or rny, you're still going to have 5 incisions if it's done lap.  I had lap rny and  went back to doing hair after 10 days. Felt pretty ready too! Personally, I'd say I'd be back on that Monday of your second week....so 13 days post op, that is, if you can take that much time off, do it. No one needs to know why you're having surgery, or what kind...tell them "female" surgery....you're a female, right?  It's none of their business, and an employer can't ask.

I had my surgery on a Thursday and went back to work the following surgery at my desk job.

Good luck! You will be fine!

I had lap band surgery on Thursday and went back to work on Monday. I teach so I didn't have to lift and I could sit when I needed to. I was a little tired for the first few days of that week but made it fine.

I had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work the following Monday after surgery; I work at a desk and do payroll so I'm having to remind myself not to get into my old routines of eating fast because I only get 30 minutes for lunch.  I can put the food to the side and sip at my soup in between data entries.  I also go to school & I didn't want all the people in my class knowing about my lap-band so I just told the teacher that I was having 'female' surgery; that shut him up, no questions asked. Good Luck!
