Moving Forward

Hey Guys,  After dragging my feet for over a month I have finally made all my appointments to move forward is my surgery quest.  My psych visit and pulmonary test are scheduled for April 9th and my blood work, EGD, EKG and Chest X-ray are scheduled for the 11th.  Wish me luck and thank you to everyone who has supported me through my doubts and fears about whether lap band surgery was right for me.   Jan

Hi Jan!! Congratulations on your decision to have this surgery! It is an amazing journey! I also had Lap-Band. I had my surgery back in June of last year. Dr. Wellborn was my surgeon! I have absolutely no doubts that this is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself! I think you will feel the same way! Who is your surgeon and are you scheduled for surgery yet? Hey Karen,  Thanks for the encourgement and support.  I have to admitt I am scared and I'm not really sure why....I've read nothing but overall positive comments on this site.  So, I know in the long run this is going to be an amazing journey...but, I also know this is going to be a major change in my lifestyle and something I'm going to have to work at.  I'm going to use Dr. Josh Roller in Springdale;  partly due to location he's close to my hometown of Van Buren.  But, I also attended one of his seminar and was very impressed with his knowledge and his demeanor.  I still have to complete my testing I guess before I'm approved for surgery.  My insurance is suppose to be very good in this area so hopefully I want have any problems with them approving my surgery.  Thanks again.  Jan

Hey Granny, How's everyone doing?  Have you got to spend much time with the baby....aren't they sweet?  Carla, I'm so excited about this yet I'm still scared.  Hopefully, all of the testing and appointments will move along fast so I want have a lot of time to think about it.  I've not had a chance to actually meet Dr. Roller yet.  I guess after all my test I will get to visit with him.   I'd love to get together sometimes and visit but I only get 30 minutes for lunch.
