Lap-Band Support Group Meeting?

Can anyone tell me when is the soonest lap-band support group meeting in AR or surrounding areas? I live in Southeast AR and am willing to drive a pretty good distance to find a meeting. My surgeon's office scheduled me for April 9 because my insurance runs out soon and my dr requires me to go to a meeting before surgery, but his office doesn't have one until after I am scheduled for surgery. Please help if you can! Thanks a lot!

Hi Karen! Not sure who your surgeon is, but Dr. Wellborn and his staff are having a support group meeting on April 8th at St. Vincent's in Little Rock! I was going to ask this very question as I am supposed to go to a support meeting before my surgery...... what time does it start?   Maybe I'll see you there Mary

Ummmmm......I can't remember if it starts at 6:00 or 6:30. I will have to look and find out and get back to you on that one! Sorry! Also, I just wanted to make sure you knew that it was a support group meeting not a seminar. Not sure if this makes a difference but wanted to make sure you knew that! Hey Karen! Thanks so much for letting me know about the meeting. Yes, I've already been to a seminar...now I just lack the support group meeting. That would be so awesome to be able to go to the meeting the day before while I'm already there in LR! And I would love to meet some people that are actually for wls...I have a lot around here that are against it. :(  Please remember me in your prayers because I still haven't gotten the actual approval yet!!! Dr Luttrell has a meeting in his office this Thursday at 6:30.  His office is in the Rivercrest Center at Kanis & Barrow in west LIttle Rock.  He has a great staff.
